#hxh #I'm not really a theory minded reader because I tend to read dramas and things that hinge #More on an character and material circumstance #So I am of no serious mind whether or not bill is a legit turncoat #However given that we know he's an enhancer and one with a particularly unselfish hatsu #And how nen is meant to read as an extension of the self #I am inclined to read bill as a genuine and honest character #I think a genuine change of heart that could become recalcitrant later would be more interesting #Than bill deceiving kurapika #I also think a good intentioned ploy to release beyond that plays into beyonds hands would be a better portrayal of him as a strategizer #Because it would show idk. Anticipation of kurapika's abilities to weed out the dishonest #But I am talking myself around on that rn. Bc it would be interesting to play into a story about the matter of fact and subjectivitt #By making kurapika's detections paltry for the task #And the succession war is def so far a story about truth especially truth and power and fact in the eyes of the law

I See You Aizawa-san has finally been licensed so here is my post telling you to please please please read it. what starts out as a silly horror-themed comedy unfolds over time into a really well-foreshadowed mystery with some seriously chilling moments of horror. i think fans of The Summer Hikaru Died or I Want To Hold Aono-kun So Badly I Could Die would really enjoy it, but if you like yuri, horror or just manga in general, i seriously think you should give it a try!!!

entirely neutral on the chainsaw man ending because of how it felt forced to finish rather than allowed to reach a natural conclusion. I think I'll try to step away from it for a while before rereading it to see how I feel about it as a complete story versus a serialized story, but I think you can at least read the ending as compatible with some of the themes of the manga, in that denji's other life is still fundamentally with the same power structures in place and all that has changed is a few contingencies in people's lives to make them slightly more joyful but not better. Given everything that has happened in the story it does feel at least purposefully bittersweet.

#I do wish that asa had stayed the main character of part 2 and the ending had focused on her but wanting a different story isn't critique #At least it didn't end with a heterosexual marriage #But now fujimoto hopefully can return to what he does best: one shots #csm spoilers
