oh to be laying in bed with Robby. domestic bliss. he’s propped up against the headboard with his glasses on and a book in hand, turning yellow stained pages with that old library smell to them. grey sweats and a navy tee shirt. plush sheets crinkled beneath. to be snuggled up against his broad chest and listening to the words spoken off the pages like a lullaby until you’ve fallen asleep against him. chest warm. the subtle smell of sandalwood and something sterile like a dove soap bar. the constant rise and fall of his chest like a metronome. the only light in the room is from the warm lamp on the nightstand and soft moonlight creeping in from the windowsill. he likes to keep it freezing at night so you comply only because it makes him your personal heated blanket. he’ll tuck a hair behind your ear and smile, heart aching at how he got so lucky.
