Today in Decade-Old PC news: This gfx card originally sold for $830 + tax. 10 years later, you can routinely buy them on Ebay for about 20 bucks.
Why Aren’t You Reading Motor Crush?!
The team behind the critically acclaimed revamp of Batgirl returns with an exciting sci-fi action-adventure series! By day, Domino Swift competes for fame & fortune in a worldwide motorcycle racing league. By night, she cracks heads of rival gangs in brutal bike wars to gain possession of a rare, valuable contraband: an engine-boosting “machine narcotic” known as Crush.
Domino Swift and Lola, the amazing genius mechanic (also Domino’s Ex)
Also, this comic requires music so I recommend listening to:
OGRE
Perturbator
Satellite Young
Tokyo Rose
Trevor Something
VHS Glitch
Dead Astronauts
Ex Machina
Susanne Sundfør
Tron Legacy by Daft Punk
etc.
I created a Spotify playlist called “Motor Crush: Music Selections Inspired by the Comic” here.

Microupdate: Still want to do things with this pinboard, but... I... bought... a... PS4? And sunk a month of vg hobby time to playing a few current games instead of retro ones.
My pal Doruk pitched the possibility of playing the ancient-ass Quest for Glory adventure games on a stream soon, so a deep dive back into the trashwave seems imminent
video games
So I’ve been playing Lost Planet (though the PC version technically didn’t release until summer, it was already out on the 360 in March ‘07). I completely overlooking these games at the time, but goddamn are they fun, fast-paced, and reaaal good-looking on a high-end machine.

"Episode 1 took 18 months to complete and Episode 2 will end up being about 13 to 14 months, so we’re trimming it down. I think we’ll get closer to a year and be on a 12 month cycle. We’ll see how it goes after this trilogy is done."
