An Abuser Tactic to be Wary of:

Abusers like to do this thing where they push you and push you until you snap or have an emotional reaction, just so they can point out the behavior and call it ‘toxic’, ‘unnecessary’, or even ‘abusive’.

They live to play the holier than thou game.

Even if they were just exhibiting similar behaviors just to get a rise out of you, the second you react in any way to the situation, they will take it to their advantage.

They will do a similar thing where if you confront them about a behavior, then they will spin it on you, and play victim.

Be careful darlings. Remember, you aren’t the abuser. They are.

Right so this lady was smart, if you’re ever in a sedan-style trunk there’s a little pull tab that you can use to get yourself out that is STANDARD in cars built after 2001. It’s the law just like headlights and seatbelts.

if you are in an SUV style vehicle or newer model car you may be able to find the automatic trunk release wire, pull on it, it will pop the trunk

if you can’t find any of that stuff,look for the brake light housing. You will need to pull back the trunk carpeting and feel about. It’s probably bolted in, but some careful wiggling will dislodge it. If people see a goddamn arm waving out of a hole in a car while they poke along I-95 they likely will do something about it

gentle reminder in this cold-n-flu season to not take mucinex if you’re also taking an SSRI (antidepressant)

always google “drug interactions [insert drug names]” to make sure that combining meds won’t make you more sick

the dextromethorphan reacts badly with the serotonin and can cause really bad anxiety and insomnia. it can also cause something called serotonin syndrome, or serotonin poisoning.

regular mucinex is ok, but you should always double check medication reactions!

dextromethorphan also reacts with bupropion (wellbutrin) which is not an ssri (like lexapro or zoloft) and is used to treat anxiety and eating disorders in addition to depression! even if you aren’t on an ssri for depression, double check the interactions of your specific anxiety and depression meds (and other mental illness medications) just to be safe

Anything with a decongestant reacts with antidepressants. So if it’s got The D™ and you’re taking an antidepressant they will react to each other. This includes Allegra D, Claratin D, etc.
