Drove 6 hrs from Moab to Zion. We didn't have shuttle tickets so just walked along pa'rus trail and traversed the virgin river. The peak of this trip is seeing the iconic #delicatearch and painting it at sunset. Yes the hike was rough for me as it was mostly uphill and my increased cardiac output and shortness of breath really took it out of me 🫁. But we made the 4 mile trip and it was worth it! Earlier In the day we had already hit #devilsgarden and saw #landscapearch #pinetreearch #tunnelarch #sanddunearch. Reaching 21000 steps (9 miles) in all today! Drove from grand canyon through #MONUMENTVALLEY and stopped at #Newspaperrock before finally arriving Moab in the evening! That took around 7 hrs. But the terrain changes are just amazing along the drive. From snowy tundra to rocky deserts to green forests. 28 hrs in the car and we finally made it to #grandcanyon! After a unrestful night of sleeping in the car due to a massive accident closing down the only road to grand canyon, it was nice to finally make it to see @tabita.abigail16 bucket list crossed off. One of the most amazing and Gorgeous campgrounds and hikes ever! Stayed at onion valley campground and hiked total 11 miles with 3500 ft elevation through #KearsagePass to see #KearsageLakes from a distance. Also got to pass by 5 different lakes along the way and even take a refreshing dip in one of them. Hiked 8 miles roundtrip to see two of switzer falls! First falls were crowded and is swimmable, but the second was quiet not that much farther in, and not too many people knew about it! Definitely recommend this hike! But make sure to go early to secure parking (bring adventure pass) and bring enough water because the hike back up in the hot 🌞 is killer!
