We wound up with the cutest puppy ever - #crosbyJ (Sept. 2016)
Travel There: 2/14/16 Just another amazing afternoon at Afton Alps!
Travel There: Afton Alps, December 2015 Iâve found my thing âŠ. At least for the winter out here. Love that we live 10 miles from Afton Alps and can swing by whenever I want! Very freeing and exciting to get better each run!
Here we go with the #decemberphotochallenge #day1 with #myview for miles, over the Great Salt Lake....such a beautiful and majestic sight! #Oaklandbound
Happy wintry Monday! âïž More snow overnight; off to Oakland tomorrow where I'm hoping for a little more Fall before heading full speed ahead into Winter! #newintown
Highlights from our weekend in Duluth #instafamily #SNOX #tuckerhibbert #duluth
Prescott Casino Night! My date... Sean C. With Nicole and Jason Miller! (at Ridgetop)
Magical forest #ispy (at Canada/USA Border)
Stepping out of the office for the evening.... Off to meet @cdavies1979 for dinner! #goodday #pandoralife (at Grand Central Terminal)
March 2015 - One of the last things I did before departing Washington DC for the great unknown, was to attend a concert at the Kennedy Center. Â Who would have thought weâd stumble upon this amazing exhibit of the Iberian Suite! Beautiful and exquisite designs and elegant colors.Â
Honest Abe! Cutting through the Capitol between meetings on this rainy day! (at United States Capitol)
Travel There - Cape Town, South Africa: 10/4/14-10/11/14
Knowing this was my 3rd time to South Africa, I wasn't about to miss the chance for a quick trip over to Cape Town - even for 24 hours. Â While there are a million things to do and see, explore and eat, I had to make the most of the time without overdoing it. Â
The trip up Table Mountain did not disappoint - the chance to see the view of the Western Cape, into the ocean and out over Robben Island was breathtaking, a great way to take it all in with one view.Â
While making my way to the Victoria and Albert Waterfront area in Cape Town, I watched the local children's enthusiasm of playing in the waves, being hit by the spray along the walkway, despite the chilly temperatures, overcome them; with the excitement of summer being around the corner they didn't let the cold bother them!
Should I be so lucky to make it back to South Africa, and take advantage of a little more time in Cape Town to visit the other provinces, explore more beaches and see more wildlife. But for now, I can say I had an amazing time, found a little piece of paradise at the Blackheath Lodge http://blackheathlodge.co.za/, and appreciated the history and culture I was able to experience.
Travel There - Monterrey, Mexico: November 2014 I've been a little remiss in posting on my travel blog... In fact I think I've actually missed my South Africa and Colombia trips from the last few months of 2014! Perhaps that will have to be fixed this new year! For now- a few highlights from a work trip to Monterrey Mexico! Lovely venues, amazing food.
Travel There: Washington DC 10/12/14- A weekend visit to the newly built American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial.
Finally....
On what will be my third visit to South Africa, I'm finally taking the time, albeit brief, to make it to Cape Town and explore just a little. Â Booked my flight, and found what looks to be an amazingly beautiful and perfectly located, revamped Victorian House for my one night stay - the Blackheath Lodge. Â While the purpose for the trip is work, I couldn't travel all that way again and not visit what I am expecting to be one of the most gorgeous places on earth. I can't wait to report back!Â

Flags
The weather was a little cooler today so a little walk through Old Town was in order. Was moved to take my real digital camera along, not just rely on my phone, and captured dozens of American flags. Various states of waving and wrapped around the poles, flags can be spotted on almost every street in Old Town. So historic, and so patriotic.
