commissions

i’m literally sick to my stomach with having to do this but i don’t know what else to do, so. 

my brother is about to be homeless. my family and i can’t take him on because we’re currently housing my niece and my sister. my sister is divorcing her husband and got herself mixed up with an abuser who ended up putting her in the hospital yesterday. we’re trying to get this all sorted and figured out, and then my brother calls and drops this bomb on us. 

my mom lost her job when the pandemic hit, so we’re down one income entirely, and my hours at work have been reduced dramatically. we’ve recently had to replace our AC in our house, so my credit cards are maxed out. i’ve applied for a better paying/second job with no luck at all, as my town’s economy is dependent on the oil field and, well. 

i don’t know what else to do. 

i’m drowning. 

so i’m going to try commissions again, if anyone is interested. 

the fandoms i’m willing to write for are: 

-rhett and link -hamilton -the adventure zone -hannibal -foo fighters -literally any combination of any of those? idk man just throw whatever at me

and i’m willing to write anything that isn’t r*pe or underage stuff

my rates are: 

- 1-2k – $5  - 3-5k – $10  - 6-10k – $15 - 11-20k – $20

i can also do drabbles under 1k for $2 or give you access to any of my many unfinished works for $1 a piece if anybody would be interested in that. i can make a list of what i’ve got in that regards if anyone is interested in that.

You’re No Guttenberg Part 2 - 2000 words

On Thursday, Rhett gets up early and drives back to campus to take the final for one of his statistics classes. By some miracle he’s pretty sure he passes. He also goes by his apartment to pick up some clothes and grab a few books. It’s empty, all the other boys probably wrapped up in finals hell, and he’s selfishly relieved that he doesn’t have to face any of them yet. Greg knows most of the story, and he’s sure Link has given the rest of their friends some abbreviated form of an explanation for Rhett’s sudden disappearance, but he doesn’t have it in him at the moment to answer any questions or face down any judgmental stares. He’s barely faking his way through hour by hour without looking like he’s constantly on the verge of a panic attack, and he’s not even sure how great a job he’s doing at that.

He doesn’t see Link that day or the next day. They talk on the phone once more but he’s busy wrapping up the semester and Rhett doesn’t expect to see him until the following week, so of course he shows up at Rhett’s house on Saturday afternoon.

Link answers on the second ring like he’s been sitting two feet away from the phone waiting for it to light up, and if Rhett had to guess he’d say that’s not far from the truth.

“Hello?”

“It’s me.”

Link lets out a whoosh of air. “Rhett! What’s going on? I got back from the library this afternoon and Greg said you’d gone home. I tried to call, man.”

“Yeah. Listen, Link. A lot’s happened. I don’t really know where to start.”

Link’s answering silence is loud. He and Link have never had trouble talking about anything.
