I never went to an art school but still had mandatory art class from 1st grade until highschool graduation and it was literally so useless. Our teachers would give us basic prompts like "draw a comic" or "paint a cave entrance with watercolor" and nothing else and it always just felt like giving a child a piece of paper and some crayons to entertain themself and we learned nothing at all, so I'm really curious:

People who have or had art class and did NOT go to a specialized art school, do you feel like you actually learned anything in art class?

The First Impressions We’ve Made

Does everyone remember their first impression of Rhett & Link? Was it love at first sight? Or did they have to win you over?

2017 I googled fidget spinners to find out if I should get my kid one and ended up watching gmm#1099. I thought they were annoying wannabe-hipsters. I was confused by the fact they looked like they were filming in a cluttered rumpus room but they clearly had several crew members with them. I thought the one with glasses was cute and obviously gay. I did not like the bearded one at all. I thought the vintage hipster aesthetic of it all was inauthentic and cynical.

A little while later I went on a weird Al YouTube binge that lasted days, which led to discovering epic rap battles of history which I became OBSESSED with, although when I saw the ones they did with randl I was like 'ugh not those hipster wankers from that show'. But! The YouTube algorithm was very insistent that I watched some early randl songs too, and it was when I saw the likes of 'maine man' and 'space junk' that I finally became charmed and tried gmm again, and actually enjoyed it.

However I will start Biting if tumblr becomes the standard social media site everyone uses.

My employers don’t need to know that I am a clown and this is the circus I frequent. They don’t need to learn about the chainsaws I juggle or the jokes I yell while entering a tiny car with a bunch of other clowns.
