there's always time to grow
me reminding myself about this as I prepare to leave the job I've had for my entire career. here we are, in the time to grow
I’m impressed by your writing. Indeed, acceptance is a life-changing experience, and it often takes years to accept things we’ve long avoided. Alas, we tend to embrace acceptance on our own terms and conditions. While I’m not fond of this aspect of human behavior, there are many other traits I find challenging, such as how our instincts deceive us. They make us believe in the fight-or-flight response, which can even be triggered artificially by drugs.

Almond consumption can lower C-peptide responses, which can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce the risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
People who consume as few as 30–50 g of almonds, as opposed to an energy-equivalent carbohydrate snack, can lower their energy intake significantly at the subsequent meal
Almonds might affect appetite during a weight loss diet and may assist with weight management in the long term, according to researchers at the University of South Australia's Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity.
