Let's be honest, Captain America: Civil War has its fair share of "Martha" moments and other inexplicable things.

My boyfriend won’t stop talking to me about whether or not I would eat Pokémon steaks. We think maybe Mr. Mime steaks would have white meat and ooze a purple liquid. I feel like you’re the only one qualified to tell us more
listen the ONLY part of a mr mime thats edible are the red spots, and thats ONLY after being properly cooked - if you bite into any part of their body while its still raw youll suffer near immediate food poisoning
luckily, just like red kidney beans, the potential toxins are easily to remove provided you take the right steps
once theyve been safely removed from their inedible surroundings, the larger red spheres are ready to begin working with - its worth noting that the smaller spots on the hands and cheeks also fall into this category, but theyre almost always too small to be considered harvesting by most professionals
youll want to start by cutting away any flesh thats still directly touching the pale parts; when in doubt, a wider cut is always preferred. better safe than sorry ! one benefit of working with mr mimes is that, along with many others in their typing, their bodies are held together with physic energy and thus dont require deboning
the next part is going to require boiling in a large pressure cooker- some may find it a challenge to to find a pot big enough to host all the parts, so cooking them individually is fine. remember to follow the instructions to the letter
after theyve been removed and dried, an easy way to text if theyre safe to eat is to cut them in half and check the spongy center - a darkened purple core means theyve been boiled long enough, while any lighter, greenish tints means you probably needed a bit more time
once theyre out of the danger range, you can now safely use them in variety of dishes ! their almost mushroom-like texture means they absorb flavors well, and pictured above is one of my personal favorites
THIS guy though, you can just pop em into your mouth whole. its fine
its fine
its fine
Fuck you I’ll reblog it cuz it’s an elephant strawberry I need no other reason
There is no bad luck here but LOOK AT THIS BERRY.
I think it’s unfair to defend Scarlett Johansson is just “doing her job” when she takes roles not meant for her, she could very easily say no and make known why she did it, Ed Skrein stepped down from the movie Hellboy because the character he was supposed to play was asian, he received online outrage and later claimed he did not know his character was of asian heritage, he made his reasons known, said that by keeping the role the tendency to obscure minorities will continue and dropped the movie; after that, the studio could do nothing more but cast an asian actor to play an asian character. Actors can reject roles and do a lot, they only choose not to.
I love how London Tipton was asian and had literally more white privilege than every white person in that show combined and also wasn’t smart. If that’s not big dick energy idk what else is
I’ll be damned if a lot of east Asians don’t have more privilege than white people, especially if they are good looking. This is not even unusual. I mean just look at how popular K-pop is. They don’t even have to be talented. They just have to be pretty.
damn…every single white person is banned from saying anything about Asians now until they gain one ounce of critical thought
what she says: “Oh I don’t mind; we can eat anywhere. I’m not picky.”
what she means: “For my entire life, I’ve been called bossy/picky/selfish/arrogant/bitchy for voicing my own opinions and making my views known, so now when someone I care about asks me about what I want, my immediate gut reaction is to defer to the other person’s preference. it’s less of a hassle to capitulate to someone else’s desires than to risk having someone verbally berate me for being truthful about what I want.”

Nadine Thornhill has raised over $5,000 to help with production costs
Ontario’s modernized sex-ed curriculum may be banned in classrooms in the coming school year, but that won’t stop it from spreading on the internet.
Nadine Thornhill, a sexuality educator in Toronto, has set out to make sure the content of the curriculum is preserved for those who want to teach it.
“I’m going to be teaching so that teachers, or even parents who want to share this information at home, will have an example of how to do that and they’ll have access to all of the information,” Thornhill told CBC Toronto.
Thornhill runs a YouTube channel featuring short, educational videos focusing on child and adolescent sexuality. She wants to create a series covering the sex-ed component of the 2015 health and physical education curriculum, which the new Tory government announced it will scrap this week.

It’s because the kids aren’t white
Obviously what’s happening to these kids is horrific but should we really be calling them concentrating camps though? What do Jewish people think about this?
Hello, Mexican here. They are fucking modern day concentration camps. Children, even infants, are being ripped from their homes, forced into overcrowded abandoned Walmart’s, with only 2 hours a day of outside time. This is no way for children to live. There is a mural on the wall of Trump with the quote, “Sometimes by losing the battle you find a way to win the war.” Do you know what people call shit like that? Propaganda. You can fuck all the way off. I cannot fucking believe you chose to fucking nitpick how this humanitarian problem is discussed because you’re uncomfortable with the horrors happening right before our eyes and would rather call it “problematic.” I can’t fucking stand gringos for bullshit like this.
Hi, Jew here! They are concentration camps and any Jew worth their history will tell you that. The Trump murals, the “we’re just going to take your baby for a bath”, the photos of confiscated rosary beads, the older children taking care of younger children they have no relation to because there are no parents around.
We see this shit and it sends chills up our spines because that was the kind of shit gentiles ignored because it wasn’t “that bad”. It wasn’t “that bad” when they were just confiscating our wedding rings and throwing them into a pile because we were “prisoners”, because it wasn’t “that bad” when they were separating children from their mothers to put them into a separate barracks, because it wasn’t “that bad” when little kids were having to flee through Kindertransport without their parents.
This also isn’t the first time this has been done in America. The Japanese were held in concentration camps here during WWII. And what’s happening now sounds strikingly similar to that as well. A concentration camp is literally just a place where you concentrate a certain group of people against their will.
The first concentration camps weren’t in the holocaust but used in German South West Africa (modern day Namibia) during the Herero Genocide two decades before. They still have concentration camp museums on the island of its coast.

gabi: in russia, the act of displaying the LGBT flag in public can get you arrested. so these 6 activists from latin america resorted to creativity: wearing uniforms from their countries’ football teams, they turned themselves into the flag and walked around moscow with pride.

sana, jihyo, mina // dance the night away teaser 2
Do you believe that a person who takes orders at a fast food restaurant deserves the same income as a medical doctor?
Let’s put it this way:
I believe that, as a society, we have enough resources to feed and house everyone; each person should be provided with a livable minimum that will allow them to secure a comfortable and happy existence. I believe that many jobs aren’t necessary in the grand scheme of things as well, and that ultimately food services should be automated or reworked so that people don’t have to spend huge chunks of their lives flipping burgers for the profit of fast food millionaires. If we were to actually employ some know-how as a society (possible in a society steered by democratic planning and worker/community control of industry), we could employ everyone, utilize machines to help workers with their jobs (rather than as competition for the benefit of the rich), drastically cut down the work week, and allow people to pursue whatever their interests and talents push them towards. Socialism isn’t about “the fast food worker and the surgeon making the same amount of money”. It’s about pushing society towards a state of affairs where money isn’t the plutocratic arbiter of our life choices, by decommodifying the social realm as much as possible.
Like….I want you to understand that there aren’t just some inherent castes of people who flip burgers or perform surgeries; those castes are shaped by the way capitalism stratifies people and funnels them into jobs and opportunities. In a more just society where people had more free time and qualitative access to education and resources, we’d probably see millions of people tied down to no particular job in the capitalist sense of today. “Burger flippers” would also be artists, builders, farmers, etc. Specialization would still happen, definitely, but where it does occur would likely be accompanied by social prestige and intense satisfaction for the craft – that comes with the territory when the people involved actually make the decisions (rather than submit to the decisions of bosses or property-owners). I’ve seen it argued before and I’ll reiterate it: I’d rather be entrusted to a surgeon who cares about helping people than one who’s only involved to become rich. And it’s not like surgeons and doctors will be destitute under socialism or something – they’ll be as able to self-actualize and enjoy the fruits of society as anybody else, if not moreso in some small ways (through that aforementioned prestige and respect and all that stuff).
This “you want everyone to be paid the same” argument misunderstands what socialists are aiming for; it’s too myopic and can’t help but assume socialism is just capitalism with hyper-redistributive taxation. Think outside of the box a bit, anon.
