Say You'll Be there | TREANER
Who: Iliana - Trent - Pepper
Where: London
PEPPER:
"Action speaks louder than words." Pepper replied to the fellow brunette nudging her in an almost friendly way. Pepper knew that someday, somehow Trent would repay her for all she has done for him, on this momentous and adrenaline filled day. She rushed off ahead to give them their own private time.Which of course she did not want to see or witness because sometimes the thought of anyone else happier than she was made her nauseous.
"Do you really need to know where we’re going Trent?" She replied as she moved the last branch away to reveal the abandoned airport. The runway was small, but just enough for the small little private jet plane to appear in the foggy mist.
"There’s our ride home." Home. Pepper hadn’t thought of it that way in a long time. Home was where you belonged. Where you were accepted for who you were no matter what the circumstance. It became harder and harder for her to insult and find fault in the people that she new for a long time. Although she still got a kick from insulting new people as well as the ones she knew once in a while. Nevertheless; she had something to go back to. The only person she could have thought of sharing this moment with was Rob. She couldn’t wait to get back home to him.
"I’m not piloting this time." She mentioned as she signaled the pilot to open the plane to let them in.
ILIANA:
Iliana nodded at Pepper, she was right actions did speak louder than words and what Trent had just done for her regardless of how much she didn’t want to him have had to told her everything she needed to know about their relationship. Relationship? That word was something else she hadn’t acknowledged about them, were they in one were they not. Frankly it didn’t matter to her because she didn’t want anyone else, and it seemed she didn’t either. It was still a strange subject about where they exactly stood.
"I think I’d like that, if it wouldn’t be too much of hassle." Iliana replied quietly to Trent, if he was willing to help her, she was willing to let him. Even though he had already given her so much help. She would find a way to repay him, and Pepper. She wouldn’t forget the kindness this girl had given her and Trent. Iliana stopped to let Trent carry her the rest of the way, It was probably going to be painful even with his help, but it would at least make it less than it already was.
"Thank you again, Pepper." she smiled at the brunette as they proceeded into the jet. "I really do appreciate your help, even if I am slightly embarrassed about the situation." Iliana was beginning to open up more, there was no reason not to. They both had already seen the darkest part of her. She leaned her head on to Trent, looking up into his caring eyes, something that he didn’t show much behind them. "I still love you." she smiled scrunching her nose at him.
TRENT:
He smiled faintly at Iliana, his rigid body starting to relax at the combined efforts of his touch and their new safety on the pilot helicopter. Trent exhaled, letting his body loosen up slightly on the plush leather seats of the helicopter, though a second-nature habit part of him remained alert, paranoid. They weren't safe, not yet - and perhaps they never would be. Having a body count - albeit not the most pleasant thing to have - was something Trent had grown used to. Pepper and Iliana, however, Trent was uncertain about them. The last thing he wanted was for them to be dragged into this whole situation; this whole underground world of labyrinths and dangers - they might be safe for now, but Trent knew better than to hope they would be safe forever.
Running was possible, but escape.. escape was a whole other subject matter.
"I love you, too, darling." Trent whispered quietly to Iliana, pressing his forehead lightly against hers. "Just don't - don't do anything like that again." He was less concerned about the danger and the threats that came with this mission, but rather, Iliana's safety. The bruises on her skin stood out, dark and throbbing, and the last thing Trent wanted was anyone's hands but his own on her.
The helicopter started to cruise at a normal rate through the dark sky, the city disappearing through the clouds beneath them. They were safe for now, and Trent found breathing to be a little bit easier. Turning back to Pepper, he smirked lightly at the worn yet triumphant girl. "Thank you, Pepper - I owe you one. Maybe two."
