two of my flatmates took up eskrima about a year ago, and they spar a lot with wooden/blunted knives and both have a fuck ton of scars on their hands and arms, and they’re both rad as hell but they want me (a 4′11′’ girl) to join their club, and on one hand, i also want cool knife fighting scars, but on the other hand, i don’t wanna get pummelled by my flatmates, who are both over 6ft and 200lb+

Defend your favourite as much as you like, but it’s a well known fact that IntSys treat and write their female characters like garbage. They’re either sexualised and fanserviced to death, or they’re killed, or used as plot devices, or aren’t allowed their own legendary weapons compared to their male counterparts. It’s annoying as hell seeing people squabble over Camilla and Tharja and Sonya and Lyn and Celica when they’re all done an injustice here or there.

i love that every pokémon is someone’s favourite pokémon. it doesn’t matter how much you dislike a pokémon or how forgettable you you think a design is, out there is someone who thinks it’s their baby. my coworker who only discovered pokémon through pokémon go absolutely loves tangela and has a small army of fully powered up ones. at an expo once i saw a woman at a booth desperately trying to find an onix plushie because it was her daughter’s absolute favourite. i talked with someone recently who announced sudowoodo as their tippy top favourite. every single one is loved by someone and idk, i think that’s gotdang heartwarming
