wow funny how white house aides and cabinet members are capable of resigning and speaking against tr*mp now that they're all going to be unemployed in two weeks anyway and have nothing to lose
so very convenient to suddenly develop "morals" after four years just so you can be absolved in the court of public opinion and while he and his family go back to their gaudy penthouse and suffer no consequences other than MAYBE an exile from politics at the most you get to stroll right back into DC with a clean reputation and denounce him as if you weren't standing beside him cheering him on the whole way
mushroom synths
I love it someone please explain wtf I just watched
@national-shitpost-registry This is a modular synth! Basically an instrument that works with voltage that you can control in order to generate and modulate different parameters to create sound, logic and, eventually, music. Here what is happening is that the mushroom is controlling the voltage thanks to the pin. By doing that, all the parameters connected to the mushroom went crazy, probably because it generates a really weird voltage and in a very random way. You can check a youtuber called Andrew Huang and his music and also Omri Cohen to learn how to do it yourself with a freeware called VCV Rack!
The electricity generated by the mushrooms has to do with the hyphae, the ‘roots’ of the mushroom, that make up the organism! The ends of the hyphae contain potassium ions that the mushroom uses to send electric pulses across its mycelium! It’s theorised that this is how distant parts of a mushroom ‘know’ what’s happening to each other!
@lierdumoa I think i just saw a version of this post where you were wondering?
Thank you!

Mathieu Lapointe wins Mitacs Award for Outstanding Innovation in postdoctoral category
Microplastics are a (relatively) recently acknowledged problem, so one of the big obstacles is that most water treatment plants weren’t designed to deal with removing them from our water.
Mattieu Lapointe won the Mitacs Award for Outstanding Innovation at the end of last year for identifying a promising new chemical that causes microplastics to settle to the bottom of water treatment tanks, thus allowing them to be removed.
Hopefully, this method of microplastics removal can be optimized and integrated into existing water treatment plants without the need for adding new pieces of large and costly equipment.
Thanks to @mad-hare for the submission!

SENATE BUDGET COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN SENATOR BERNARD SANDERS (I-VT) LET'S GOOOOOOOO
yesterday rev. raphael warnock, preacher of black liberation theology at rev. MLK jr.’s church, became the first black senator from georgia. black voters, who just 200 years ago were considered chattel and who were legally barred from literacy, changed the tide of american democracy. black voters decided who controlled the senate. and delivered victories to a black man and a jewish man. this is exactly what these people at the capitol are angry about. change is coming to america despite all the fucking odds, despite all our institutions do to prevent that. despite the slavery, lynching, beatings, mass incarceration, violent poverty, disenfranchisement, police brutality, we are not relenting. and we are working within a multiracial, multigenerational coalition, led by WOMEN, to force this country to be livable, to create a future for us and for our descendants. they know that their time is up and that they cannot resist us. they are angrily seeking to reassert the violent power structures and systems of domination we are dismantling. that is what these people are angry about. not fucking liberalism

WTF is happening? This is like insane...
And to think THIS is what it looked like during the BLM protests.
Fuck the people that are letting this happen and even encouraging it through their lack of action.
