Hello! Since I am new to the studyblr community I decided that I should introduce myself.

reading, although i don’t read as much i would like to

My definition of a response is a written response of the reader’s thoughts/ ideas after reading essay’s, articles, poems, or any other media that is given to you.

 My key factors:

State a thesis

1 - 1 1/2 page length

use “I”

be organized with your thoughts/ ideas

have major points for each paragraph

My major points: I answer these three Q’s

Tell how the literature/ media made you feel. Do you have a personal connection?

Discuss/tell what you learned or discovered

Discuss/tell why your discovery is important to others OR why it should be important to others.

First off, my definition of a summary is a short version of an article, video, etc in my own words. 

Key factors in my summaries: 

1 - 1 1/2 page length long 

No “I” is used

I clearly include the title and author in my thesis

cover the major points ( i have at least 3)

I always use “for example” & “to be specific” in my body paragraphs

BODY PARAGRAPH EXAMPLE: 

To begin with, Suzy is profiled on the perspective of education because in the novel she was known to be a brilliant young girl. For example, in the beginning of the novel Suzy’s professor, Miss Puff, believes that she is too smart because she claims that her father must stop teaching her how to speak and write. To be more specific, Miss Puff discovered that Suzy was to “literate” and tells suzy “insert quote that relates to your first point”. This profiles suzy’s education because Miss Puff knows that if she wants Suzy to learn the way she is teaching she needs to “dumb” her down because she Suzy knows too much that a kindergardener should not know. (this last sentence kind of just restates the first point/ first sentence)

* I know that I’ve been gone for a whileeee, but with me being in senior year I’ve been so busy trying to maintain my grades, applying for scholarships, and trying to be consistent with attending school clubs…I’m stressing yet trying to keep myself together!
