i get that’s it’s not always obvious when i’m on my lunch but you’d think people would notice not to bother me when i’m hunched over eating a vegetarian burger like that bitch eating his son
hold on what is this gif
my storytelling flaw is that I love it when characters hate themselves, I love when they hate the communities they're part of, I love it when they have internalized isms, I love it when they externalize those isms, I love it when they're assimilationists, I love it when they betray themselves and everyone around them, this makes me very bad at watching and reading progressive stories
evil things are calling to me... (thinking of pursuing a phd)

Prodigal son. The world will wipe its dirty hands all over you.
It already has, Roy.
still struggle with war films however. they can be good but yeah idk the patriotism is blinding. and as they say, theres no such thing as an anti war film
in spite of crashing out so badly over my degree i had to defer my exams and may have to repeat the whole year ive actually thrived otherwise. and by thrived i mean ive indulged in so much world war 1 novels its unreal
read all quiet and yeah i mean its as good as they say. maybe my favourite book ever. and it just triggered this dormant fascination with the war and i cant stop.
regeneration trilogy unreal. still processing
been reading sherston trilogy. on memoirs of an infantry officer. seemingly impossible to get a physical copy of sherstons progress in this damn country ??? but i will persevere. kindle piracy if i must
bf bought me “to serve them all my days” which seems interesting altho very british. then again so is sassoons books so. i will continue in spite of it all
ive been reading a lot just in general about the war and also of course reading the famous and incredible poetry but i need to get some non fiction in there. paul fussels book seems very much up my alley.
might return to this blog just to share excerpts and thoughts from stuff im reading. not just ww1 or whatever. but clean this place up a bit and try maintain this habit in spite of the Horrors of Chemistry
spent more time this past 2 months learning about first world war than studying for my degree in ch*mistry and what of it
dont even fuckin use this platform anymore but can always rely on it when i need discussion on niche interests

"Yeah, he's not even a very good one. But he's out there alone, and probably scared."
