There is one fact that unites all living beings: one day, we will all die. Despite this ubiquity, death still remains socially stigmatized; we are often hesitant to talk about it. Fear and superstition prevent us from embracing the very purpose of existence: its endpoint. The Citizens Committee on Moral Hygiene seeks to disrupt and upend this taboo, and illuminate artists who embrace death in all its in finality. Death may well remain a mystery until the moment of its arrival, but its aura dictates all of our actions, either in an attempt to avoid it or to know it. Of course, the mystery does not end with “the end.” There may be more to death than meets the eye. What comes after? Is death the end or merely a new beginning? This is THE END+.
