My friend briefly came by yesterday (unplanned visit). Today, my brother just dropped by for a few hours because I was sick. He did grocery shopping and cleaned the dishes for me. We also chatted away for a few hours about silly things in life.

I have forgotten how nice it is to have family and friends nearby.

Perhaps...I just need to surround myself with people more often.

Being alone can become lonely.

I still recall the quizzical look on my college wind symphony conductor’s face, as he made eye contact with me after my last phrase. “I have never heard anyone audition on this piece before. Vaughan Williams - interesting choice. I’m impressed.”

Who knew we’d get along so well? After all, I don’t think I will ever be in an all-Holst program ever again.

I am tearing up as I watch this prelude to the last episodes of Poirot.

And I know I won't be the only one crying at the end of the "Curtain."

I am grateful to David Suchet and the whole production team for finishing the series. But what have I to look forward to now?
