That concludes the updates for now, but be sure to stay tuned for a status update detailing everything that happened and what my plans are now!

Since @avaniacomic was nuked out of nowhere, and I'm still waiting on support to get to my ticket, I'm posting the new pages I was planning to here instead, at least until I get the main comic back up again.

I'm also been rebuilding World Of Avania on ComicFury ( https://avania.thecomicseries.com ), and it is now using the regular worldofavania.com URL since @avaniacomic is still out. Depending on how things go, I may just make the ComicFury site my main platform, since it'll probably be more secure than using tumblr as a CMS, and it allows me to customize the pages to a greater degree while largely retaining all the features I wanted.

Babe, wake up--New birb just dropped!

Got home late after 4th of July fireworks the other night, and I figured I wasn't going to feel like working on comic backgrounds, so I tried sketching something with Chasse, but I ended up feeling inspired to finally make a serious start at creating my own male rozenich OC!

I've had a lot of fun drawing Chasse over the years now since my friend @alfafilly came up with a Viktoria-inspired rozenich for me, and I've drawn some of her interactions with Filly's own OCs in their original setting... I have a somewhat developed backstory for Chasse now, but in order to expand it more I felt I should have a few more rozenich OCs of my own. And of course just designing characters is fun to do on its own merit! Especially when it comes to very colorful and varied species like this, versus the more uniform setting of my Avania comic.

Now, I wish I had more time to pursue all of my art projects at once, but I think it's good to always have a few irons in the fire so to speak, as it helps keep me creating things regardless of how motivated I'm feeling on a given night... And it gives me more story and worldbuilding to mentally chew on for the times that I can't draw or write!

Avaniacomic blog sudden disappearance

Still haven't got beyond the initial acceptance email for my support ticket, but after doing some reading on r/tumblrhelp, I'm assuming that @avaniacomic got nuked by automatic spam filtering for some reason after I made some updates to the pages.

I've used the same custom webcomic theme for almost 8 years, and I don't think it contains any redirects, but it seems like side blogs getting nuked after saving edits is unfortunately fairly commonplace... Good news is that it seems like it should be recoverable, just a matter of time for support @staff to look into it.

Even if I can't get @avaniacomic / worldofavania.com restored soon, I'll post the new pages here on @worldofavania and also on my DA and FA pages.

TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

@avaniacomic blog (the comic itself, and what worldofavania.com points to) disappeared at some point after midnight tonight, and I have no idea why or what is going on. Sent a support ticket in. Hopefully it can just be restored, but I'll update when I hear anything back. Thanks!

Chapter 18 Begins April 5th!

After looking at the cover for Avania #9 for months, it's finally time to crack into this issue! As with the last few updates, this update will be about one half of the chapter (with this installment being shorter and the next one being longer).

I'd love to be posting full chapters again, but time is still not quite so abundant that it is feasible to do so in anything approaching regularity. Progress is progress though, so I am glad to be moving the story forward in any case!

Little chibi-esque illustration I did alongside the PASWG-style drawings of my Avania OCs, since the cartoon proportions ended up being fairly close to the regular Star Fox characters, and despite being hooked on the game and official comics since the beginning, I had never drawn any fanart for the series!

(While chipping away at Avania comic pages I watched the new season of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt and I got inspired to try something radically different than my usual art... I guess my regular style would work for the transformation sequences? Kinda ended up being more chibi / SD than strictly PAWSG animation style but I'm happy with the result!)

(Even though Valen and Eiserne aren't zoomers, Valen could absolutely vibe with Divine as a theme song.)
