banned book week is coming up (Sept 22-28). growing up, did your parents disapprove of books you read (assigned or by choice?)

no, my parents encouraged/introduced me to banned books

no, but there were certain restrictions that i considered reasonable

they disapproved of certain books/authors/topics but did not take away the book

yes, they disapproved & did not allow me to read certain books, etc

yes, they disapproved & contacted my school about it

didn't read enough/parents didn't care or weren't aware/nuance
