Look, people are upset about the sentiment of the Achievement Hunters saying they don’t need to ask permission to read a fanfic, but they’re kinda right. We write about them. And post it to the Internet. Yeah, I write fics and I was high key worried, but they are real people we are writing about. They owe us nothing. They allow us to write these fics in the first place. We need to understand these are real people and they have every right in the world to read our fics about them as they like. It’s not something I’m cool with nescisarily but that’s par for the course when you write about real people. They treat it better than a lot of irl fandoms, trust me, I’ve left fandoms over this issue before. If you write about real people and post it to the internet this is a risk you run.
