sleep well, sweet bee friend
My fear of missing out is not hypothetical, it's nothing but real. I'll never be able to experience all the things I wish to try in this life. I'll never be able to walk every path through the trees and I'll never be able to great all the mountains.
Most people say that the fact that human life is finite is what makes it so beautiful and important. But I cannot agree because I would walk my way into the forest for centuries if I could.
I would walk every day, I would not stop unless to sleep. I'd lay into the moss and feel as one with it. I wouldn't get bored of admiring the sun rise and set as my thoughts gets lost in this ocean of warm hues. I wouldn't get bored of feeling the wind ruffling through my hair, tickling my neck. I wouldn't get bored of the icy cold, freezing my cheeks and nose, revigoring. And that's only living simply, here, which I describe, but I wouldn't get bored of discuting every subject in the world with other humans, being in the presence of those I cherish, caressing one's another soul and heart, but also to create and weave things from my spirit and hands.
I would live a thousand different lives and sometimes experience again some other lives, just for the fun of it.
Let me live again, again and again.
Når dagene blir lengre, kommer friheten Et snev av evighet Muligheten til å gå seg vill på stien Og snu før mørket faller Uten å måtte jage tiden Når dagene blir lengre, kommer roen
"Come into the woods, come with me Come into the woods, come now Let the stream that froths and bubbles wash away your fears and troubles Come with me now And the tune of leaves sings softly through green boughs that tower lofty Come with me now..."
Huldra - Waldkauz
sshhh, the troll is sleeping... don't wake them up...
"Bort från stigens ljusa spår,
Upp bland berg och täta snår.
Här där ingen man har gått,
Men där vacker fura stått."
Nio nätters led - Forndom
I sat with grief Grief of love never found Grief of love long lost Grief of love hoped for Grief of love never answered I sat with grief Grief of a life I imagined as a child Grief of a life with you in it Grief of a life we never lived together Grief of a life that never ends I sat with grief Grief of the light in your eyes Grief of the sun on my skin Grief of the sweet taste on my tongue Grief of the genuine smirk
Through the forest, I came across someone so familiar yet mysterious. No doubt this one may be an old friend I could have met in the troll forest. Rest silent my dear one and sleep til the humans no longer lingers here.
"From a cracked egg's lower fragment Was created the earth beneath, From the top half of another Rose the lofty arch of heaven.
From a yolk, the upper portion, Began to glow just like the sun, From a white, the upper portion, Rose the moon that shines so brightly;
Whatso in the egg was mottled Now became the stars in heaven, Whatso in the egg was dark In the sky as cloudlets floated."
The Kalevala
for also the small lives matters the same as the others, and may this rest find you curled up in leaves, moss and solanum flowers
Today I learned that in Norway, Digitalis common name can be translated to "fox-bell" or "fox-music" because norwegian stories say that fairies showed to foxes how to ring the bell-shaped flower to warn each other of hunters, and I thought it was a cute fun fact.
Meanwhile this was not taken in Norway but in the french forests near Paris but maybe it can be useful to the french foxes as well.

Laccaria amethystina - Amethyst deceiver
How beautiful is this mushroom?
As pretty as the amethyst crystal. Both pretty works of nature.
