A dabble in Super Power Retention
Been planning my Super Hero whump story for a bit, and kept thinking about different ways to block/control different powers…
thought you weirdos might like these >:)
Someone with siren-like powers, whose source is their voice: gag them! Whenever they aren’t training or fighting for you, make them wear a mouthpiece that blocks their voice. They won’t be able to talk, but they’re a weapon, what more is there to be said??
Someone who can fly: WEIGH THEM DOWN. metal shoes that they have to drag around. Chains on their wrists attached to the floor or a heavy metal ball. This is one of my favs.
Someone whose power comes from their mind (telekinesis, telepathy, mind control): DRUG THEM. Make them drowsy, their mind too foggy to understand what’s happening. Eyes half closed, stumbling as they’re led somewhere, limbs heavy and feet dragging. Whenever their eyes begin to brighten, hold the mask up to their face until they take a deeeep breath and relax once more. (or give them another shot or pill if that’s your thing) Whatever you do, don’t let them think clearly. They’re dangerous when they can.
Don’t have a lot today but any powers you wanna hear about just comment ;)
there’s something about like….impersonal, clinical caretaker talk that I find soooooo whumpy.
really thinking about this with aliens
“The human being responded well to receiving a blanket. Clinicians are advised to let the human being remain in contact with the blanket whenever possible.”
“The human being does not like having their extremities manipulated by unfamiliar clinicians. Only familiar clinicians should be assigned to the human being’s care. New clinicians, if absolutely necessary, should be introduced by a familiar care team member.”
“The human being should be bathed at least every three days, or whenever skin is soiled. Clinicians should offer diverse nutrition options at least three times a day, and water and a drinking vessel should always be available.”
"Can you just...not right now?" Whumpee asks as caretaker creeps into the room.
caretaker sighs and pulls the curtains open a sliver, "i just need to make sure you're alright."
"well i'm not, so leave me alone."
#ooooh
The only reason I was put on this Earth was to watch injured and struggling defiant whumpees be forcibly sedated and manhandled by well intended people who just want to help them, this is my only purpose.
Imagine a Whumpee who has to be sedated.
Maybe they're in too much pain, or they need to undergo a medical procedure or maybe they're violent after being rescued, holding onto the "fight to survive" state of mind.
Imagine Whumpee thrashing around, pushing doctors away, putting up a fight while screaming and crying, begging to be left alone.
Imagine Caretaker grabbing their wrists or legs to keep them still and shushing them, risking to get hurt as well by Whumpee's wild behaviour.
Imagine Whumpee slowing down, struggling to keep their eyes open, and one last sob dying in their throat as they finally lose consciousness.
Caretaker can only sigh in relief.
“He’s responding very well to treatment. He’ll be groggy for a while still but soon I don’t think he will require physical restraints.”

Has anyone ever told you that you look beautiful laid out under a surgical light?
Tarot-Inspired Whump Prompts
I'm enthusiastic about both whump and tarot and those interests were bound to collide at some point. So I wrote a list of writing prompts inspired by the Major Arcana! Five prompts for each card, so there should be something for everyone. Enjoy!
(Also, if you happen to write anything based on any of these, feel free to tag me! I'd be honored to read it.)
The Fool: Accidental whump. Misplaced trust. Leap of faith. Taking a risk. Falling from a high place.
The Magician: Magical whump. Manipulation. Mind control. A charismatic and confident character. A table full of tools for inflicting pain.
The High Priestess: Keeping secrets. Blindfolded whumpee relying on their other senses. Guarding something or someone. Intuitively noticing when something or someone has changed. Cult setting/dynamics.
The Empress: Gilded cage. Lady whump (if you're into that). Comfort in material things. Gentle caretaker. Whumpee not used to experiencing abundance and safety.
The Emperor: Strict whumper and/or strict rules. Royal whump. Wartime. Stoic leader trying to remain calm for the sake of their team. High security.
The Hierophant: Religious whump. Institutionalized whump. Punished for questioning authority. Pressure to conform. Power leading to corruption.

OOOOoooooohhhhhh!!! So good!
Wikihow are you... flirting with me??? Why are they writing such good whump fic in an article about how to escape a car trunk,,,
anyway here's your daily reminder to write more kidnappings please and thank you !!!!!
!!!IMPORTANT!!!
Was on my other account doomscrolling through whump content and what do I come across? Writing copied exactly the fucking same as mine. 16th Hour, Shackled By Royalty and my other popular posts all fucking copied. I accidently lost the user's name who was doing it and I did try a lot to find it again. I'm so so sorry about that but for fuck's sake, please if anyone finds something like that please please report them. This is not okay.
I don’t write, carving out time from an already hectic schedule, just for someone else to copy-paste it in seconds and call it theirs. I don't do that just to see a tag there underneath those stolen writings as #my writing. And mind you, these stories matter to me. It’s beyond disrespectful, it’s fucking theft. And it’s not just happening to me.
As I kept scrolling, I saw more stolen work. Some of which I recognize from @oddsconvert's "Play Pretend", @whump-queen's amazing stories, @whumpsday's "Jim and Kane", @whumblr's "Home is where the hurt is" as well as many others which I'm sure I've come across but I fucking know whatever it was was not by this person. These are writers who actually work towards there writing and I'm sure they find it just as disrespectful as me to find this out. And the worst part is, most of these writers probably don’t even know their work has been taken. It should have been caught sooner. Each post had around 50-60 notes and the most surprising thing is that there was no reblog or comment where at least one of them said that it wasn't their work but ours. But i guess, them being deleted is also a possibility.
So please, if you see this, spread the word. If you’ve seen anything suspicious, or if you know who this person is, please, reach out. I’m fine with my writing being inspired off of, but copying? Straight-up stealing my work? No. That’s not just a violation of me, it’s a violation of every creator who puts their heart into their fucking writing. I’m not okay with this. And I hope whoever did this, knows exactly what they’ve done, and feels ashamed of themselves. This is fucking plagiarism.
This community is meant to be a safe space—a place where your writing doesn’t have to be “perfect” to be shared. You don’t have to steal someone else’s words. Stop.
Whumpee is kidnapped and shoved into a car before the car drives off. Caretaker jumps in their own car and give chase.
An hour or so passes. Caretaker kept a close eye on the kidnappers' car, even breaking several laws like going over the speed limit as they continued to chase the car. They had to save Whumpee, no matter the cost!
But their own car began to sputter, before they looked down at their car's status. No more gas.
Their heart lurched in their chest, as their car came to a stop, and they had no choice but to watch as the kidnappers' car--with Whumpee in tow--leaves their sight.
Running out of gas is so good cause then they get out of their car and start chasing on foot until they collapse from overexertion, even if they lost the car long before that
Caretaker stuffed in Whumper's trunk, able to hear every little sound as Whumper carves into Whumpee in the back seat.
those few moments after whumpee's car crashes, moments after a bloodied figure tries their best to crawl out of the wreckage of their up-turned car, falling face first onto the floor after clawing at their seat belt, moments after the injured whumpee is trying to drag an unconscious caretaker out of the wreckage, their vision blurring every single second, moments after the crash, when and if they're still trying to get out of the jammed seat of their overturned car, their blood rushing to their head, the smell of smoke burning their lungs, pain overwhelming their senses, whumper's boots ( or figure ) come into sight.
whumpee being transported in a car:
front seat: buckled in, arms bound behind their back. struggling to unbuckle themselves and reach the door even as whumper is right there, calmly driving
back seat: same situation as front, except maybe there's more seatbelts tying them down. or maybe they're bound and just dumped on the floor
trunk: bound and gagged and stuffed in the trunk. maybe whumper drives dangerously on purpose so whumpee is thrown around. they have no idea where they're going
Characters getting wrestled into a car and kidnapped my beloved. Hands cuffed to their back and thrown onto the backseat. (or of course, thrown in the trunk) They snap back for a bit, harmless with their hands tied, and get the door (trunk) slammed shut in their face.
But also, characters willingly getting into a car with their kidnapper, under threat, at gunpoint, or already so bruised that they can't put up a fight anymore.
And/or! They (somewhat) trust that person only for them to find out during the ride that they're not going to where they are supposed to be going :)) Ohh, that sinking feeling.
