there's this reaction I get a lot when I mention being an ftm lesbian, which is that im "forcing lesbians to fuck men"
they see my identity as inherently predatory, and cannot conceptualize lesbians willing getting into relationships with me, despite the fact that me being a lesbian does not mean lesbians have to fuck me. there are many cis binary lesbians who have not had other lesbians be attracted to them, and yet this does not erase their lesbianism. as an ftm lesbian, whether or not other lesbians are attracted to me has no effect on my identity.
despite this, though, lesbians are attracted to me. I am in a lesbian relationship with my butch of eight months, and as it is an open relationship, I have also gotten with other lesbians, the majority of which pursued me.
for a lot of lesbians, especially other trans and nonbinary lesbians, they don't lose interest when learning I use he/him. some do, and that's fine, it just means we're not compatible, but every time I hear someone say ftm dykes are forcing lesbians to like men, it gives me the impression they are not active in lesbian spaces, and do not know many ftm lesbians, because lesbians can be, and many times are, attracted to trans masc lesbians
