I feel like with fics that were written before UDG came out I can sort of disassociate the unnamed character “Taka’s father” from Takaaki, but when he’s named it just feels so weird paired with the general perception of his character. I just get so weirdly defensive of a character that barely exists in canon lmao.

(Also just to be clear, this post isn’t meant as hate to anyone’s writing or headcanons. There isn’t much information around Takaaki’s character, so anyone is free to their own opinion. This is just supposed to be a funny post about my own reactions :) )

(Also Also, the character I used is my persona if that wasn’t clear. I don’t use her often, but yeah.)
