Pride
By tsaeryal
Beneath the rainbow's vibrant light,
We stand as one, our spirits bright.
No longer hidden, bowed by fear,
We raise our voices, proud and clear.
The stars that guided sages old
Still shine on every heart and soul.
They do not judge whom we embrace,
But cast their light on every face.
Through church and temple, mosque and hall,
The breath of life was given to all.
No divine hand drew lines apart
Between one person's loving heart.
Some called our truth a heavy sin,
Yet love still burns its fire within.
For if God's nature, true and pure,
Is love itself, hate isn't the cure.
But live with honesty and grace,
And let no fear, our joy erase.
For every soul deserves to be
Accepted, loved, and living free.
So let the rainbow banners fly,
Like stained-glass colors in the sky.
Let every voice and heart belong,
A thousand hues, a single song.
Under these flags, may we celebrate
The love that triumphs over hate.
And may we know, both far and near,
That we are worthy to be here.
