Ahahah best answer, totally not the same vibe 🤣🤣🤣 In the Clerith scene, we can clearly see fear and danger on Cloud and Aerith’s faces while in the Cloti scene there is softness, unspoken feelings, embarassment and desire (sexual tension). Also, double standards much? Pretty sure that if this was a Clerith and not a Cloti scene they’d already be screaming to the moon how canon their ship was, but of course because it’s Cloti it doesn’t mean shit. The level of denial here… and still, they claim it’s Clotis the ones who watch scenes with shipping googles on. Sure, how do they believe their own bullshits? 🤣🤣🤣

Okay so in the chapter after sector 7 plate falls cloud sees a illusion of aerith and more or less confesses and she tells him he can't fall in love with her.

It might be possible aerith knows she will die or that she knows Zack is dead and afraid that if cloud fell in love with her he too will die.

Also in another scene cloud has a vision of her dying and he cries! So I am gonna say this and please do not take it literal nor offensive but it seems square is saying clerith is Canon after all however they seem to also say cloti is too from the scenes I saw like one where cloud and tifa jump out of train and he holds her as they land and ask her if she was alrigt.

Also he hugs her as she cries over plate falling and she kind of flirts with cloud a bit too, also another spoiler cloud genuinely liked Jessie and when she dies he is distraught and looks ready to cry.

So square to me seems to say hey all three of these ships are Canon not just one though clerith and cloti seem more prominent.

it can still be optional and be canon

And for the love of god, if you’re someone who likes Clerith please do not believe these well known blogs who are guaranteeing that the game 100 per cent canonizes that romance, or that it nukes Cloti and Zerith. Please don’t listen to what they’re saying until you experience the game for yourself. They’re setting you up for an ugly disappointment.
