something soooo funny to me about voldemort having been the top of his class in hogwarts. like he’s canonically the ridiculously smart overachiever type, even if he makes it seem effortless; i can’t stop thinking about voldemort in his full snakey form being scary and evil but then someone happens to ask a question about this or that and Oh Boy. suddenly the dark lord is quoting tomes from centuries past and referencing cutting edge academic theory across every subject you can imagine, im talking published literally last week in some obscure journal only actual academics read, and everyone just has to sit there while the supreme lord evil red eyed snake man takes a strangely enthusiastic detour into the minutiae of potential interactions between the disillusionment charm if cast at the same time the subject is under the influence of some kind of invisibility potion or something. because what does it mean to cross two aspects of illusion with each other, would these theorized effects extend each other’s capabilities or would they conflict with each other and thus weaken the other, what would happen if a third variable such as the polyjuice potion or a silencing charm is introduced, do these effects magnify, do they cancel, are these interactions entirely theoretical. he’s getting into the history of recorded interactions and the particulate interactions of potion and verbal magic and why This particular word invokes Thus thing when said in This cadence except under These circumstances... Etc. it’s all very fascinating to voldemort and if he’s been subscribed to half a dozen academic journals over the past several decades, well. it’s not his fault he was dead for like ten years. he’s just trying to keep up with the field

yall gotta open your minds to robbylangdon rn (is that what we’re calling it?) like listen to me. mentor/mentee, robby’s favorite resident turned disgraced prince of the ed… frank’s idolization of robby & unfaltering loyalty vs robby’s refusal to let anyone acknowledge that he has emotions & how BETRAYED he felt when frank hid his addiction from him… frank being willing to do anything & EVERYTHING as long as it makes robby proud of him / think he’s good… robby’s blatant favoritism just encouraging frank to keep chasing that validation… don’t even get me started on the locker room scene FUCK. when they said it was the closest think the pitt had to a breakup scene. yeah. it’s the commander x right hand trope in a modern setting & ive fallen straight for it hook line & sinker. cannot wait for s2 when we (maybe) see frank getting better / being less willing to play into the dynamic they’ve had for years bc he recognizes the toxicity of it while robby sinks deeper and deeper into his own mental hellscape & tries to bait frank to some degree into old habits of their dynamic. either that or they have the worst most unbearable tension between them from not resolving Anything from s1 tgt and the entire ed just has to deal with that
