i watched the movie past lives a few weeks ago. the way they talk about inyeon reminded me of you. i don’t know that i actually know you anymore but in this life i get to remember the version of you that i loved. i think even now i’m still looking for you in people, i see hints of you in people i shouldn’t. it makes me feel like i understand them, and maybe they could try to understand me. i don’t think there’s any way to talk about how i love without thinking of you. it’s confusing, it feels contrived. how are you everywhere but nowhere.
