Strange. But given how much the young devil summoner had already seen while on his duties, he wasn’t the least bit skeptical. There had to be validity of this man’s explaining, and so with all things considered, time was of the absolute essence.

"It’s best we act quickly, then. I`m not sure you can answer this, but have you any possible leads on his whereabouts? If not, we should head over to the Fukagawa and Ginza districts here. I know of a few who might have information, or could guide us in the right direction.”

“Your location–ah, yes, of course. You’re in Tatsumi Port Island. It’s a man-made island off the shore of Iwatodai.” There’s no telling if that means anything at all to him, of course. Taking into account the way he looks, in particular, she adds, “The year is 2012.”

Until he needed to know something more specific, that seemed like a safe, albeit small amount of information to spare. In such unreadable situations, the less you said was probably for the better. Though perhaps he’d be willing to return the favor, even slightly. “Might I ask where you’re from?”

Tatsumi Port Island, Iwatodai; said given locations remained unknown to him. The former is man-made, she says, so it’s a possibility that came long before his time. Regardless, it was somewhat comforting to know he was still in his home country. Simply returning to his exact era would then be the real challenge. Now Raidou had other factors to wonder about...

If Gouto managed to stay by his side during this mysterious transition of time and place, could it be that maybe Narumi was here as well? Or for that matter, anyone else he knew? Separated and lost. No, he certainly hoped that wasn’t the case.

After a thoughtful nod to her explaining, Raidou only voiced his answer.

“Tsukudo-cho, of the Capital. I suppose I should add it`s 1931 where I`m from.”

The Dark Realm, Raidou found, was quickly becoming a place some (albeit rather unlucky) bystanders were familiar with. And each time he was given the task of saving said people in the past, all were cooperative. That, of course, is to change upon his meeting this woman. It was miraculous she had survived this long without even a scratch on her.

Though she may have been perfectly capable of taking care of herself, he had to give persuading her to follow him to a safer place another chance. There was little telling how much time they had left before a lurking, and possibly powerful, demon would approach.

“I understand your mistrust, but you see, this is a very dangerous place. At least believe me when I say I`ll do you no harm. Now, we must leave, and with haste. Will you reconsider?”

“Not at all. I’d be happy to.” Far be it from her to deny someone something so simple, in theory, especially someone so worn-looking as he–and if he was taking the time to listen to the concerns of a stranger, even if it was about his own well being, it was only natural that she return the favor.

“Ah–please, sit.”She did as she spoke, and the man’s cat companion seemed happy to oblige, making its way over to her, as if to inspect; in the brief silence that followed, Miku scratched it under its chin. That cat seemed unoffended. “I’m not sure if I’ll have all the answers, but… whatever you need to know, I’ll answer it as best I’m able.”

“I appreciate it, miss.” At her request, he followed, taking a seat opposite of her. It was then he felt somewhat glad to have listened to this stranger. Even just a brief moment of rest felt so relieving to his tired and achy body. Momentarily, it seemed Gouto too was enjoying himself... And after he’s been so adamant about not being a typical cat.

Raidou then wasted little time getting to his explanation. Though, shouldn’t his situation be obvious now? Given appearances alone, he had to take a guess and say he was far into the future; consequently, he more than likely looked way out of place himself.

“Right now I just need to know where I am. I see this world is very different than my own... Because of my obligations, it`s important I return as soon as possible.”

Initially, he was not inclined to listen; however, upon remembering his situation, Raidou could do nothing other than at least consider her words. This stranger, whoever she might’ve been, was right. Pushing himself would do no good. Though he wished desperately to have a resolution for his problems right then, he supposed all that would come with time.

Perhaps he should also consider himself lucky that she came along when she did.

Was this simply the result of a mishap while he was traveling realms? Ending up here of all places, with only his belongings and feline companion at his side… There was little telling the cause. Raidou only knew he had to find a way back sooner or later.
