What are you doing today? I am avoiding housework (😖)on this rainy, very gross, about to freeze over, Saturday morning. I’m working on my first Albino Cardinals. ❤️Thanks to Crystal for the suggestion! ❤️My birds are needle felted with merino wool and silk, not the easiest fibres to needle felt, but they are very soft and the colours are amazing.❤️ (at Oromocto, New Brunswick)
Happy Friday! 💜This is some of my felted wool art that found new homes in 2017. Happy Monday Morning! The kids and Rich are back to school/work today, so this feels like the first real day of work for me this year, even though when you work at home, you can be sort of working all the time if you aren’t careful. 💜This morning I am washing this gorgeous fleece that I received last week, and have been itching to get my hands into. 💜It’s a Dorset/Romney/Coopworth mix from #DarkSideShearing. Cute little 3” fluffy bird, needle felted with my favourite lamb curls from Nova Scotia.⭐️I just received 17 lbs of raw assorted curly fleeces in trade! ⭐️(I am making a big felted wall hanging of a sheep shearers logo in exchange!)⭐️I can’t wait to start washing and dyeing and felting all those locks.
