Transfem Jax is a great headcanon/implied canon thing but I’m not a huge fan of how the fandom’s been depicting it. Like ok… being a girl doesn’t automatically make you dress differently and wear makeup and act all shy and submissive etc… you can be a girl and still be an asshole in overalls.

So I researched this and obvious answers include the film The Blob (1988) and Gary Gygax in Dungeons and Dragons (1974) but the generally accepted invented of the first slime monster was H. P. Lovecraft in At the Mountains of Madness (1931) with the Shoggoth, followed closely by Clark Ashton Smith in The Seven Geases (1934) in the same canon with Abhoth.

I haven’t watched it but most of the criticisms I’ve seen have been so funny. Your headcanon isn’t canon so it’s bad. Some characters didn’t learn a lesson or get a comeuppance in the end so it’s bad. Not everyone gets a happy ending so it’s bad.
