I’ve been reminiscing when I saw Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters a few months ago, and was again inspired to do some fanart. This time a piece of both Payakan and Lo’ak, I really liked how their friendship reflected both of them feeling like outsiders in their own families.

This is the piece I did directly after seeing the movie.

The last few months I’ve been really upset with my art, I’ve just felt stuck and completely unable to move forward . But I finally felt inspired this afternoon and did (In my opinion) my best painting this year so far.  I started this painting on canvas and then switched over to finish it digitally, which is something I’ve never really done before, but I‘d certainly like to mess with it more often.
