hooome home on the raaange // akina
Oni, young women with cat ears, relatives of Dr. Frakenstein? He was right, all of it did sound preposterous. Where this many years ago she probably wouldn’t have been able to stifle her giggles and chock his words up to his vivid imagination. But to deny his experience was essentially denying her’s in some way, and she couldn’t really do that despite wanting to. So she shook her head.
”I believe you. In fact I envy you just a little if what you say is really true, can I say?” Well, if they we’re trading stories — and Yui felt comfortable in knowing she wouldn’t be laughed at or mocked. Called crazy, even.
”I lived with vampires; six of them, all young men. It…well, it was horrible. I was to be their bride, to one of them, but things were especially difficult because of my heart; as if being consistently treated like furniture wasn’t already difficult enough.” Frustration marked her features, brows knitting together and a sigh heaving out of from her diaphragm. “Everything I knew about myself was fabricated, and the secrets surfaced the minute I went into that home. So…hearing an experience like yours, I’m happy that you didn’t face anything so terrible — something I wouldn’t even wish upon my worst enemy. But also a bit envious.”
Let's say, Akina is ready for the laughs and giggles because on the other side of the world where demons and humans don't coexist, this talk is possibly insane. So when he's told that she believes him, he can't help but raise a brow and look her direction. Honestly, he was waiting but now he's not because he wants to know why she doesn't think anything he states is out of the ordinary. Listening, he's speechless to be honestly, hearing that even though they shared some similarities, knowing that aspects of myths were reality, hearing her time spent many vampires isn't something he could have ever believe to happen to her.
That's quite something, to be with one of them and not only that, being treated as if she doesn't mean anything. When he thinks of furniture, he thinks of she's just there when suitable for them. When the association is nice and they can get their way, besides, furniture couldn't deny to anything and as he thinks this way, a frown follows onto Akina's features. What's he to say, something like that's rough but she's here now so there's nothing to worry about? That didn't seem like the best thing to say, not at all.
"Happy? You put others before yourself don't you?" He takes a step forward to her, "What you went through, it's unimaginable to me because I'd never think something like that would happen to you. But what I do know is that, seeing that you managed to deal with them and also still able to feel emotions, you're still human. You're still yourself and knowing even through all of that, you're standing here and able to speak about it.. that you made it through, that you're still strong. You don't have to envy anything at all, you're much stronger than me if you're able to go through all of that. A hidden power inside of you for you to live and tell something like this. You're strong, you know?" A nod of his head, is that the right thing to say?
"Besides, you'll be even stronger because I'll help you if you're in that trouble again." To be married off to vampires? To have a small choice in that matter but still have it taken away, he really doesn't like that at all. But what could he do. A hand is placed on the female shoulders, "I'm happy that you're safe. That what both of us should be happy about, besides, it's you that's important. I didn't go through anything like that but, you did, so you should be happy that you're finally free from it all." At least, that's what he wants to hope.
