i’ve always loved this image. i can’t put my finger on why exactly: the statue is still partially in the ground, the people are moving and the camera is capturing some of their movement, the deeper meaning of history waiting to be re-discovered, humanity’s need to probe the past, the inevitably of things being lost, the hope to be found, and of course the colors.

i say too much too soon

last night i told a guy that i liked him. but now that i think about it it shouldn’t be so weird to tell someone you like them, right? i mean, we tell people that because we want them to know that we’re interested in them and, plus, isn’t it just better to be honest and upfront? as you can tell, i’m asking all of these questions and making these points because i’m trying to rationalize the fact that i say too much too soon. 

after we laughed, teased each other, talked about movies, shows, and talked about everything ‘under the sailor moon’ for three hours on the phone, i knew we had something. a friendship? something? who knows, but i think it’s better to be on the same page from the start. if he friend zones me, then i’m friend zoned. i’d understand. i’d get it. but any way, it’s been super nice talking with him. 

we’ll see what happens next; i always welcome having another gay friend.
