isn’t it odd how some of us kiss when we are so obviously creatures made for biting?

it’s a show of trust, i suppose, but to me words are worth more. being able to sit with someone and speak means to me “i can spend time with you without taking you by the throat”. a kiss is too close to teeth sunk into flesh. to be blunt, i would tell you that proximity is a docile beast until angered.
