Uncharismatic Fact of the Day

Penguins are famous for their sharp fashion sense, as many have been enchanted by their tuxedo-like coloring. But why do they look like that? Camouflage! Although it may seem counterintuitive, given that most of their homeland is ice and snow, both black and the white feathers keep penguins safe from their primary predators, which all live in the water. From underneath the penguin’s white belly are hard to see against the sunlit water, and their black backs are equally hard to see from above.
