OC introduction

because I somehow never posted this???? oops??? well anyhow today I finally finished the detailed patterns on the clothing, so I can finally post a formal introduction to Low (he/it pronouns), my zelda OC

Low (he/it pronouns) is my LoZ OC, very self-indulgent something of a self-insert. He is a humanoid monster who lives in wilds-era Hyrule, particularly around the time of Age of Calamity or shortly after.

I ship him with Astor and Ganon/Ganondorf. You can see my AU/fanon version of Astor on my blog and more of my ramblings about polyshipping tagged as #Undead Malice Husbands as well as more about this OC specifically. You'll see old art that is more akin to when it was human/Hylian here as well. 

There isn't one singular set storyline for Low/Astor/Ganon moreso just... concepts floating in a void and sometimes they line up sometimes not. I'm here for fun not continuity

Low was at one point Hylian, but has since become physically more akin to a monster due to constant exposure to and interaction with malice. You can see (especially in the body reference art) his body has distorted, becoming gray and purple with stripes akin to a Silver ranked monster. His body has been corrupted by Malice, and you can see the parts where the malice has basically replaced body parts. His limbs (especially in the hands/feet) have elongated into claws, and his eyes are that of a monster's, resembling eyes of malice. Conditions that would have killed a normal Hylian have transformed him into an undead creature. It is unclear if this is a natural effect of direct prolonged malice contact, or if he is a unique case due to spiritual connection & devotion to Ganon. He experiences chronic pain & illness due to the malice & gloom's health effects. His body is both sustained by malice/gloom but also perpetually tormented by it. 

He lives primarily in the Depths, exploring and researching, eventually to try to find the body of Ganondorf and attempt to bring him back to power. 

His life goal is to bring Ganon back to his full glory and power. Not just Calamity Ganon; he is aiming for the source, Ganondorf himself. Low learned of Ganondorf's mummified somewhat-undead state kept alive by malice... and this strengthened his curiosity into devotion; this became religious worship, and eventually delusional/obsessive love. He deeply craves the dark and monstrous world Ganondorf would bring about. He is devoted to this cause. He is convinced that if he is the one (or one of the ones) to help the most in bringing about his lord's reign, then he may be rewarded power of his own ...and he fantasizes about ruling the world with Ganondorf and Astor together. Realistically, he will have the same fate as canon!Astor. but a creature can dream. 

Like my Astor, he's a manipulative sadomasochist and lusts for power. in more ways than one. On his own, he's alright company, maybe a little unpleasant, but with Astor around these two are MISERABLE to talk to. 

His behavior and mannerisms fluctuate. Sometimes he's somewhat normal (ish), and is like.. conniving and just like, a normal guy, albiet a little off-putting. Sometimes he behaves like a monster/creature, driven on instinct. I think this has something to do with the malice taking hold of him. 

also he is like vaguely vampiric but don't worry about it bc Hyruleans dont know what that means. he can and will bite, drink blood, attack people, and is not opposed to eating people if the situation arises. 

Because he is basically a monster, if he should be killed in some way, the blood moon will bring him back.

My idea if there was a LoliRock x Euphoria AU...

I'm still planning out the whole idea, but it's basically LoliRock characters as Euphoria characters. Yes, it's an HBO show that contains adult content. But please do bare in mind I tend to do this for fun.

Before I go on, I'm just gonna be honest... I personally preferred the first 2 seasons of Euphoria rather than the 3rd season, mainly cuz I liked the whole high school era and the characters looks definitely got me loving that show. Although it's not as kid friendly as LoliRock, I could definitely imagine my own theories if characters were similar to the OG East Highland students (if you never watched it, I won't spoil it for you).

So without further ado, I basically made boards out of characters I thought would be accurate... for now I did 6 characters and 6 boards, basically featuring 1 additional characters and 5 of the main princesses. Bare in mind I am no digital artist tho. XD

I'm gonna show more characters too, dw. These are just the first 6 I've planned, since they're obviously my OG fav. <3

Thinking about the impacts of Legacies Undone on the other specials.

I think I mentioned at some point that Briar doesn’t wake up after the alternate timeline unravels. I don’t think it’s permanent, per se, but I do think it’s something that really impacts Apple throughout the rest of the specials. It changes her arc from trying to let go of her idea of destiny, to trying to undo the damage destiny has already done.

She is traumatized and broken at the possible loss of her friend, especially since it was at her own hand (or so she claims).

However, all of the characters bring some of the alternate world with them. And I think, now that Apple has been dark magic touched, she has a difficult time shaking that off once it’s brought into the original timeline. That kind of magic doesn’t belong to her, she’s incredibly venerable after Briar goes comatose and I like to think dark magic like the Evil Queen’s feeds on the weak. Apple can’t shake off that power and it begins to fester in her.

Her story through the rest of the specials, from Way Too Wonderland into Dragon Games is trying to find a way to wake Briar up, while also slowly losing herself to the dark magic she had in the alternate world. To the point where she’s so desperate that she frees the Evil Queen to try and find some way to undo what’s been done to her friend and ends up making a deal with the worst of the worst to reach her end goal.

I like the visual of Apple getting darker and darker with each special and the webisodes between them. More black seeps into her hair and bloody red into her palette, she’s far less chipper and maybe even argues with some of the other characters more often. She’s trying hard to shake the magic but it’s got its hooks deep into her thoughts and it’s influencing her choices. By the time Raven realizes what’s going on, it’s too late.

I think this helps explain better Apple’s sudden turnaround in Dragon Games when it comes to destiny. She is just trying to fix what she broke, and in the meantime is desperately clinging still to the idea of destiny as she loses herself to magic that isn’t even hers.

Dragon Games would be Raven (the good) and Apple (the evil) against each other, similarly to how it was Briar (the evil) against Apple (the good) in Legacies Undone.

Mostly stuff that's been in my fanfic to one degree or another. (Or things I could have gone with)

Astor feels some kind of way towards Zelda, but assumes she must love Link.

Calamity Ganon 'speaking' to Astor and pushing him to kill Zelda. (There's actually a song that makes me think of this.) He doesn't want to feel disloyal to Ganon, so he makes half-hearted attempts.

Zelda trying to convince Astor to turn away from Calamity Ganon, but Astor thinking he is beyond redemption. Or that he's doomed to be alone, so he's really latched on to being 'Ganon's chosen'.

And even Astor chooses Zelda over Calamity Ganon, King Rhoam absolutely hates Astor for a variety of reasons and forbids Zelda from seeing him, and none of the Champions will really do anything to help Zelda and Astor be together.

Oh, next chapter or two is going to be really sad... Like, coming at your with razor blades and lemon juice sad.

So, Rhoam and Astor hate each other. But like really (not a big suprise here).

The Champions don’t fully trust him, but they try to accept him (mostly because of Zelda):

-Link is pretty neutral. He doesn’t like him but doesn’t dislike him.

-Revali doesn’t like him (but I mean... It’s Revali-)

-Mipha is still a little bit scared of him but try to not show it and to be nice to him.

-Daruk is nice to him (because he’s Daruk (haha))

-Urbosa doesn’t fully trust him (like everyone else), but since they both love Zelda (in different ways ofc) and wants to protect her, they get along.

And for Purah and Robbie... ✨BIG ZELAST SHIPPERS !✨(yeah, just like us lmao)

Zelda’s mom. Éléane Hyrule. She e x i s t s guys ! (And is present as a ghost in Hyrule Castle.)

So, she knows everything about Astor, she tried to warn him about his (possible) tragic fate, through his dreams and she actually likes him, since she knows that he is not naturally evil, just broken because of his past.

For him, Éléane acts like the mother figure he never had, and she helps him when he’s feeling down.

So, here we go for all the relationship headcanons (that’s most about Astor, I agree, but it’s kind of Zelast related (I guess...))
