A few years ago going to the toilet was a quick affair, stand at a urinal and maybe wash my hands, now I have virtually get undressed, sit, get dressed again, wash my hands, check my hair, reapply the lippy and give myself a final check before pushing the door open to face the world again.

Those domestic science lessons at school were the making of us, said Chris.
