âI donât think I warrant being followed. You kind of have to be someone to get someone on your tail,â she threw back with a bit of a tired laugh despite knowing that something was going on with her. But it was all in her head. Not outside as he reached out for the drink and raised it to her lips. âThereâs too many people in there.â Too loud. Too crowded. Too many people that looked at her for too long. Keira preferred something quieter, in hopes of finding silence as she took a sip of the drink and made a small face at the bitter burn in the back of her throat. âAll I needed was a drink, not a a circus.â
âYou got a point but then again creeps don't care if you're someone. They just follow you.â She gave with a lazy smile, moving only when a new customer approach her - assisting them quickly before settling in front of the other girl. And with a shrug she added. âWell luckily for you we're all drinks and no circus. Not most of the time but I guess tonight is you're lucky night.â
drnicholaswardâ:
Nic let out a soft snort and moved to sit at the bar, sliding onto a stool and letting his hands rest against the bartop, âDeal.â She may have been offering the drink for free, but he made a mental note to leave her tip big enough to cover the glass and then some. If only to give him a chance to not think for a little while. That didnât stop him from watching her from the corner of his eye, curiosity always getting the better of him. âIt usually this dead on a Thursday night?â
With a nod a smile then Allison move to prepare a drink for herself. Fuck the rules, right? âHonestly? It isn't - â she began, taking a sip from drink and only half on the lookout for if her boss came around and caught her. â - but ever since the bar down the street opened, we've had less and less customer. Guess that speaks enough for itself, right?â
montylacroixâ:
His smile widens for a moment when Allison pours herself a glass. One more thing not to pass on to the boss, but heâs more appreciative of it than he likes. He was here because there was something sad about drinking alone, and now he didnât have to. âNo burden at all. Tragic stories are always the more interesting ones.â Though drowning probably was the best way to put it, regardless of what he says. The harsh liquid in his glass doing more to soothe his nightmares than anything else heâd found so far. The question still gets answered with a casual shrug. âJust needed a night out. Why are you trying to scare away your own customers?âÂ
âThey do make great stories for movies, right?â Allison said as a matter of fact, pouring herself yet another drink. At the rate she was going through the alcohol it was bound to be rather sooner than later -- and once her boss found out she was the reason behind it, it would have her getting fired. Yet something to worry about - it was the last thing in her mind a the moment. âI just love my me time at the work place and could do some time without someone want to pick up a fight with the first drunk they find.â Her voice echoed with a laugh, âBesides I'm trying to see how many people I can actually turn away without the boss finding out.â
lilydanvcrsâ:
âI sure hope not,â Lily responded with a nod. Tapping her nails against the counter, Lily scanned the room seeing it was a bit slow for a week night. It wasnât unusual and normally Lily would happily close down or even let her employees go home earlier, but due to the blondeâs audacity, Lily decided to let the blonde finish out her shift. âI came by to pick up a few papers I need to finish,â the manager informed the girl. âLooking around, a few of the tables could use a good scrub; Iâll man the bar, go ahead and wipe them down.â
âScouts honor,â Allison insisted, a half smile playing across her features before it instantly dropped as she turned away from the other one. Cursing at herself and her damn mouth. âCome on, Danvers. Let me man the bar, you know how I hate doing cleaning work.â She pleaded to no avail, having the feeling she was about to have one of her longest night by far. And that was saying much.
Letâs go home. I am home.
drnicholaswardâ:
Nic paused just inside of the door, and chanced a look around the empty bar, âPretty sure bars donât close till closer to two am, but itâs been a long time since my college days, and bar-hopping was a good idea.â Nic didnât have a good reason to be there, other then he hadnât felt like going home and had gone towards the first open store he could find. âTell you what, if you just give me a glass of your most expensive whiskey, and Iâll be out of your hair in no time.â
I shouldâve stayed working as a tattoo artist. She thought, remaining silence for a moment too long before she spoke. âNo -- youâre definitely right about that. Weâre just closing off early.â If Allison had any say in it, but she most likely didnât so instead of arguing with another patron or keep on spewing lies she found herself preparing his drink and having it ready for him by the time he reached the bar. âIf you can keep that promise then this drink is on the house.â
rcbckchhâ:
Narrowing her eyes at the blonde, Rebekah offered a curt nod once the bartender realized who she was.Â
Strange, Lily normally answered whenever Rebekah called, and to not have been the front runner at the bar worried the older sister. âSure, Iâll just have a Corona with a lime, please. Hopefully she doesnât take too long.â
âComing right up.â Was the last thing mutter to the woman before she turned around and began fetching for the drink. The last thing she needed was getting written up for treating customers like crap - much less the bossâ sibling. Allison placed the beer in front of the other with a half smile. âHow long ago was the last time you spoke with her?â Not really caring for the most part, but trying to keep the conversation going the nicest way possible.
lilydanvcrsâ:
Tilting her head at the woman, Lily let out a soft chuckle as she felt her irritation slightly rise. Being the manager of the establishment, Lily wasnât often let down by her employees, however, she was always unsure about Allison; this only solidified her suspicions. âActually, the bar doesnât close for another few hours, Allison. Unless you suddenly stopped knowing how to tell time,â the manager spoke, stopping at the counter with a hand on her hip. âPlease tell me this is a one time thing and youâre not constantly telling people the place is closed when Iâm not on shift.â
She felt panic arose in her the moment she heard Lilyâs voice, cursing at herself for being so careless before she moved to face the other, a grin across her lips. âOf course not, boss. I was just simply teasing.â A nervous chuckle passed her lips before she continued. âYou know me, I would never turn a patron away.â
rcbckchhâ:
âActually, sweetie, the place doesnât close down for another few hours,â Rebekah corrected her, taking a seat at the counter. As Lily had worked at Dusk Til Dawn for almost five years, Rebekah grew rather familiar with the hours of the establishment, plus she had grown to know all the employees and even some of the regular bar patrons; seeing as she was one of the bar patrons. âPlus Iâm here to pick up my sister, Lily. Is she around anywhere? Sheâs not answering her phone.â
âIf youâre not drinking, then is closing hour for us.â Allison insisted, rolling his eyes briefly as she turned around to the familiar voice. âOh - youâre the bossâ sister. As a matter of fact, I havenât seen her for a while.â She rose her shoulders in a small shrug before adding. âWould you like anything to drink while you wait for her?â

Thereâs an answering laugh at the response he gets, though itâs nothing heâd spend the time arguing either way. Whiskey on the rocks was a hard thing to mess up, and he takes the glass handed to him with a grateful smile. âDonât worry. Your secretâs safe.â Thereâs a tip of his glass in Allisonâs direction before he takes a sip. âWho says Iâm drowning anything? That sounds like classic projection. Are you okay? Do you need to talk?â
"I knew I could trust you.â Allison teased, serving herself a drink - in which not entirely ideal, the woman could care less. âAs much as I know that youâll love to hear about my tragic story, I wonât burden you with it just yet.â She gave with a teasing wing, downing the rest of her drink in one go. âBut if youâre not drowning your sorrows then, what have you here so late?â Insisting on deflecting the subject from herself, she asked once again.
@keirahcrtââ:
âAnything,â she replied with an exhausted tone of voice even as she brushed the hair from her face and took a spot up at the bar with a weak smile. Anything at all that could silence the fact that she hadnât had a momentâs peace in the past twenty four hours. Sleep was beyond her, because every time that she tried to close her eyes the noise got louder than when she was awake and pretending that everyone was okay in her head. âThank you, I appreciate it. Not sure I would have made it down the street to the next bar.â
She handed the drink over almost as soon as the girl sat down, Allison gave a short smile in response, as she listened. Genuinely curious and if anything a tad concern at how exhausted she seemed. A look she recognized far too easily. âNo, problem.â She could easily stray away from the other, ignore the rest of the conversation, but instead Allison found herself leaning against the bar. âAnd why is that? Were you being followed?â There is a teasing undertone to her voice, but a truthful question all together before she says. âReally though, The Butcherâs Arm is better than here. More client friendly.â
montylacroixâ:
Thereâs only the briefest pause at the greeting Montgomery receives when he walks in the door. No great amount of insight required to know itâs a lie, not when heâs been here enough times. Enough that he isnât put off by it, steps resuming in the next moment. âBut I like the ambiance here so much better.â He slips onto the bar stool, elbows resting against the counter. Amusement just as present as the sarcasm in the words. âWonderful customer service.â
Allison lets out a humorless laugh at the familiar voice as she turned around. âTrust me though, The Butcherâs Arm have better quality of drinks.â She joked before quickly adding, âDonât let the boss I said that.â Already preparing his usual drink, before handing it over to him. âYou know I only give the best service in this damn place.â Allison gave a half a smile and the continued, completely disregarding the rest of the clientele in the place. âWhat brings you around here so late? Never pictured you for one to drown down your sorrows in the middle of the night type of guy.â

Keira barely made it through the front door when someone was already looking to usher her back out, even as she glanced and saw that there were still a few others in the place. Or maybe she was imagining them too. Her fingers stilled as she reached for her bag, unconsciously seeking to hold it tighter against her body before she released it and the breath that sheâd been holding. âOne drink? I could really use it.â It wasnât a lie or exaggeration, but also because she didnât want to be alone.
With an exasperated sigh, Allison quickly turned to the voice of the new guest. Ready to tell them off, not caring if they would get reprehended by their boss only deciding against it when she saw the look upon the otherâs face. âSure, darling. What would you like?â The bartender asked, though she was already looking for the strongest liquor they had.
â Availability: open â Location: Dusk till Dawn Bar
âSorry, hun. Weâre about to close so Iâd recommend you just head to the bar down the street.â Allison lied, not even looking at the person that had walked in. The bar was supposed to be open for a few more hours - and maybe the entire night if the boss changed their mind, but she didnât want to deal with a bunch of other drunks. Even if she desperately needed the money.
