The artstyle is somewhat simplistic and the cutscenes are static, but I like it. Linqua Techis bits are incorporated worse than in the first game - the spoken bits tend to repeat twice or thrice per one sentence.

The inspiration for the scene is under the cut~

Seeing that there are painfully few Dante x Mephiston fics in English I run everything I can find on AO3 through the Chrome translator (*kind reminder: please don't feed people's works into AI). And one Russian fic in particular has been living rent free in my head for many weeks, particularly one scene with Mephiston sitting at Dante's feet and listening to him play the lute.

The lute passes into Dante's hands, and I rise smoothly from the chair to settle nearby on a low footstool thoughtfully placed by a servant. A strange sense of peace settles within me, as though the burden I carry every moment has grown lighter.

I like that you gave him cute earrings - maybe they have psyker-attuned crystals and are a useful sorcerer trinket.
