Team Fortress 2 character design continued

So I had previously discussed Scout’s design on my other account, with added commentary on this blog. I had a LOT of fun with that, and I’d like to continue talking about all of the mercenaries’ character designs as an exercise for myself to strengthen both my critiquing and artistic skills. If I can help others by writing these as well, that’s a great bonus! I’ve already had a couple people mention that my previous comments were an interesting read… I hope we can go on a wonderful artistic journey of discovery together~ *:･ﾟ✧*

Frankly, the reason why I fell in love with TF2 in the first place was because of the character design. I wouldn’t actually pick it up until years later (“What? There’s a comic? WHAT!??! The game’s free to play!?” *cannonballs into TF2 universe*), but I’m so happy I did. Now I’ve decided that I’m gonna straight up write analyses of their design. Well… okay, maybe I already did write a couple of them. *Sigh *, Okay, maybe I already DID write all of them. I just have to flesh them out and neaten them up, and then perhaps I’ll start posting them in pairs?

These are more of a “Their designs are extremely appealing, let’s explore why”. These could be used to solidify your own fanart of the characters, but NOT NECESSARILY an end-all, be-all set of rules that you have to follow. Use the analysis as a jumping-off point, and then experiment and exaggerate the designs! Have tons of fun with it!

TL;DR: I like character design, I like TF2, I like the character design in TF2, so I’m gonna talk about it a lot.
