((I’ll get to those paras soon, too, promise~))
And guess who happened to be within earshot of this declaration.
“…yeah, keep telling yourself that, kid… It’s important to have self confidence.” Shadow decided not to mention it was likely more along the lines of over confidence, arrogance and narcissism.
“Pfft.”
Wow, this holier-than-thou asshole. Seifer didn’t even both to remember his name, but he had no intentions to. He turned and walked away. He wasn’t even amusing to deal with, even taking into account how stupid everything he said was.Â
“Just thinking of something cute is all, Sir Knight.”
“Good. Here I thought you were laughing at me, but if some cute thing, it’s definitely not about someone as manly as me.”
“Seifer!”
“I can see your lips movin’ but I can’t hear a word you’re sayin’! Have you finally gone mute!?”
Silently, he rolled his eyes, mouthed the words, “Oh, fuck off,” and flipped the bird at the other. Actions speak louder than words.
“Sorry, but all sources I’ve talked to point towards that being a self-appointed position.  When you actually speak for the people, I’ll be impressed.”
“I’m fighting for the people and defending the order of my own volition. I think I’m nobler for being self-appointed.”
She might be trying to muffle a giggle behind a hand at Seifer’s declaration of his Halloween costume.
“What, something funny over here? I know you’re definitely not laughing at me.”
“I’m going to be a knight for Halloween. A dashing, handsome hero that fights for good and can stomp anyone into the dust. --Oh wait, I guess I already am.”
“Sorry, kid, but until you have an actual position of power, I can come and go as I please. Did it plenty without you noticing up until now.”
“I’m the head of the Twilight Town Disciplinary Committee, numbskull.” Even if he couldn’t possibly be around to notice everything all the time.
“Oh? What was that? You’re still talkin’? Sorry I couldn’t hear ya over the sound of HOW MUCH I JUST DON’T CARE.”
“THEN I’LL JUST TALK LOUDER SO IT GETS THROUGH YOUR THICK SKULL.”
He didn’t look much older than she was…well, the age she was supposed to be minus the who knows how many years in the basement.  But she had been put in charge of taking down heartless on her own so who was she to argue with his claim to authority.Â
“Alright.  Follow me.”  And she turned to head back towards the train tunnels.  She didn’t know any other way to the manor since she had come up through there.
“Hmph. Fine. Right beside you, then.” He was a little too prideful to trail behind a girl who’d just woken up after being kidnapped or something. There was no doubt he knew his town better than she did anyway. “And try not to pass out again or something.”
me? a bad person?? damn das true…
((I got some stuff done on Seifer today! Here’s to continuing the habit! Good night for now!))
“True.  But she’s currently five months pregnant with my twin daughters so there’s a certain feeling of obligation there.  Plus I’m her ride so.”
He rolled his eyes. Was he still bragging about that? “Fine. Rinoa’s always welcome here, at least.”
“Well, I can clear them out for a time but only a keyblade wielder can get rid of them permanently.”  Still, that didn’t mean she was going to stand here and do nothing.  Walking out a little ways into the sandlot, she motioned Seifer to step back.  It was going to get a bit warm up here.
Holding her hands up a ring of fire surrounded what heartless she could see before individuals went up like torches. Â It took a surprisingly short amount of time for the lot to be cleared of heartless and flames. Â Only a few badly fused bits of glass where the fires had been too hot remained behind.
Roxy took in a deep breath, her curls damp with sweat. Â It took effort to keep everything contained.
She motioned him to step back, but he certainly wasn’t about to. He was keeping an eye on this however he decided.
“Impressive. Apparently, you deal with these guys a lot.” At least it looked like she was on the opposite side of these little annoyances.
“I don’t see how that’s not magic. But since you keep going on and on about it, where do I get a stupid keyblade to take care of these things with?” A pause. “Do you need water or something? You look like you’re about to pass out.”
