the Cain plot was actually crazy bc wdym the writers said yes here’s Cain but Abel’s not important. What IS important is Cain had a wife and she was the only person who could stop Cain from becoming a monster (flashbacks provided). Now here’s a parallel of Dean and his “best friend” Cas that follows the exact play by play of Cain and his wife. Oh but it’s strictly platonic we’d never make Destiel happen. HELLO??????

I know people like the head canon that Cas would call Dean stuff like "Beloved" or "my love" and romantic shit like that

But I personally prefer him only ever calling Dean by his first name, but saying it like it's the most endearing nickname. Like "Dean" is said in the same vein as "My heart, my soul, my everything". But there is no other word to describe how he feels other than saying Dean's name

The thing he was starving most for was (Dean’s) love. That isn’t something famine can make him act on. That isn’t something that can be satiated with a hug or a kiss or sex. He starved for love, not to be confused with lust, and you can’t just… consume love. It’s given and there isn’t any way to just take.

Just like what Dean wanted most wasn’t something famine could touch, what Cas wanted most was equally unobtainable. That’s why it only could affect his vessel’s need for food.

Episode 1: (since it’s only their beginning, let’s start with the basics of the relationship, shall we?)

Castiel saves Dean from the actual Hell (1:55)

As we will see later on, when a claim is made on a soul, it leaves a mark. Cas has marked Dean as his (5:24)

As corny as it is, literal sparks flew on their first encounter (38:14)

The way Cas looks at Dean while he stabs him vs how he looks at Bobby as he tries to knock Cas out 20 seconds later (38:53)

Cas already thinks of Dean as a good man who deserves to be saved (41:36)

Episode 2:

Cas visits Dean during the night for the first time (35:20)

Cas very much cares about the whole situation, unlike Uriel. He doesn’t want to be a part in Dean’s suffering (4:16 , the ‘alrighty then’ face)

Cas feels really oh so bad for having Dean torture Alister, and he shows it

“I wanna talk to Cas alone” (6:36) this does things to me. And look at Cas’ face right after!!!

Dean shows that he cares about Cas’ free will (7:25)

“My symphaties.” “…Your symphaties?” “I was getting too close to the humans in my charge… You.” (7:31)(“You”? Not “you two”? “You and Sam”?) “They feel I’ve begin to express emotions.” (OOHHH???!!!,) ICWAW, this would be seen as a romantic moment, or even a sort of confession

Cas saves Dean again (25:28) and looks really good while doing so, Misha you sexy bastard.

Basically, Cas starts doubting the angels and wanting to rebel, because of Dean. ICWAW, we would consider it as an act of blooming love

Cas is unafraid to fight Uriel, his kind, rebel, because he has faith in the boys, in Dean (37:00) also he looks so good fighting, my God

Again with the 'old married couple’ thing (38:43) #MARRIED

Dean is the “righteus man”, Castiel is inspired by “Cassiel”, the angel who fell in love with “humanity” or “the righteus man”. Do we need more PROOF?

Dean shows himself voulnerable in front of Cas. And Cas looks at him like… THAT

Also, the Cas-Anna confrontation, ICWAW we would feel some sort of tension in the air, like a current-former love interest thing, while talking about Dean

Episode 18:

“I… admire your work” Cas to Chuck (25:57) yeah LOL

Dean bloody PRAYS for the first time to Castiel (30:30) and he comes right away. Dean once again shows himself voulnerable to Cas, and he “doesn’t help him” and the whole exchange is overall SWEET/HOT and I don’t know why.

Episode 20:

Dean worries about Cas being hurt (3:09)

The way they look at each other (35:46), so hurt! “I serve Heaven, I don’t serve man… and I certainly don’t serve you.” Dean is like 'da Hell did I do wrong?’

Episode 21:

Dean worries about what has happened to Cas and what they did to him in Heaven (13:58) and gets angry when Cas dismisses it as 'not of import’. Cas really wants to help, but can’t

The closure, the stares that last forever, the way Cas looks at Dean. 16 seconds of just STARES (16:23)

Episode 22:

“I need something” “Anything you wish” (20:11) … babies

Old married coupleTM I swear to GOD #MARRIED, “We’ve been through much together, you and I” (28:20) AAWWWW

“You know what’s real? Families. That’s real.” Dean’s parallel to S15 Castiel “We are” (29:03)

Cas can read Dean like an open book, he sees how damaged he is, and tells his he is forgiven (29:20)

Cas knows Dean is right, and is fighting against his instinct to help him, and Dean can sense that. The way they look at each other. And Cas shows weakness when with Dean, and vice versa.

“We’re done…” “Dean.” “We’re done.” (30:42) fuck my life, ICWAW we would read this as a lover’s fight/break up scene

Cas pushes Dean against a wall for the first time, and Dean looks at his bloody LIPS (32:38) ICWAW we would read sexual tension in this moment

Cas officially rebels against Heaven, for Dean. And offers to restrain an archangel just to help him. And dies for him for the first time
