Q1: The most touching thing you heard in 2019 is? โI watched the movie โEXITโ, itโs really very interestingโ
Q2: You won the popularity award at Blue Dragon Film Awards, please share your thoughts on winning. I am very thankful to all the viewers who loves โEXITโ and also all my fans and friends who have been supporting me, I didnโt expect to win the popularity award with this movie, and I am really happy to receive it. Thank you everyone!
Q3: I saw your Weibo post from awhile back, you watched โBetter Daysโ, which part of the movie touches you most? The acting skills by the actors left a very deep impression for me, this is a very meaningful work with connotations, so I was really attentively watching the movie then.
Q4: With the emergence of works like โEXITโ and โConfidential Assignmentโ, you are more active on screens these few years, are there any difference between being an idol group member and an actress? If so which areas? When I was promoting with SNSD, I used the waiting room with my members so there are often many interesting and lively things happening. However, when I am promoting as an actress, I have to memorize my lines and also to let myself get into the character, so I often have to maintain my composure while focusing on acting.
Q5: What do you think is the most important trait for an actor? As an actor, one really must possess many things, but personally I feel that pronunciation/articulation, concentration, emotional ability and expressiveness are all very important. I am continuously working hard to be able to better express myself in all these areas.
Q6: There are a lot of action scenes in the movie โEXITโ, did you prepare yourself before the filming starts? I work on building muscles and through Pilates to train my physical strength, also I consistently went for rock climbing lessons and also going for classes at action school, hence I prepared a lot for the action scenes before the start of the filming.
Q7: Back then when you were looking through scripts, which part of this film attracted you and ultimately become the reason for you to take up this film? This film requires a lot of body acting in the middle of a disaster crisis, and โEui Jooโ this role has a strong independent feminine image which is something different from my past roles, so this part really attracts me.
Q8: Everyone are praising your crying scenes, how do you went about expressing these emotions? I am really grateful for the positive feedbacks, but I am still lacking in many areas. There are of course many tough moments during the filming period, but I tried my best to focus and put myself into the scene and let myself be engrossed in it.
Q9: Previously you mentioned that you will take into consideration of fansโ preferences while picking scripts, is this still part of your consideration now? Or you will choose scripts and roles that you really like? I work hard to seek for works that I like and at the same time one that allows me to grow, of course right now I will look for works that matches my liking. Also, lately I feel that what my fans like and what I like are getting more and more similar.
Q10: Do you like to spend some time alone when you are not busy? Will you think of anything when you are spending time alone? It is not the same for every moment, rather than what I will think of when I am alone, I like to play with my dog that is staying with me, meeting friends, and also, I like to chat with people around me while eating delicious food.
Q11: It is Rayliโs 25th Anniversary, is there anything you would like to tell us? I greeted everyone as the cover girl for 2016 issue, and as Rayli welcomes its 25th Anniversary I am once again greeting everyone in the same manner, so this really makes me feel happy. Over the not so short 25 years, Rayli has receives love from everyone, I hope that in the long future ahead, Rayli will continue to receive love from everyone.
Q12: Doing one thing continuously for 25 years, what do you think is the most important factor that contributes to it? I feel that the most important thing is to never give up and to have strong determination. I think that chances will definitely come along as long as one never give up and continue to work hard.
