Why is people pirating the anime and the Blazing Jewel event?
This day has been nasty surprise after nasty surprise.
People are accusing the players based in Japan server of gatekeeping, specifically those of us who had the fortune of attending to the Blazing Jewel exclusive concert. And I'm going to be blunt: I saw a lot of foreigners there. There were a ton of Japanese players, yes, but there were also people from other countries that mostly understood the etiquette and enjoyed the event, and it took their own MONEY AND EFFORT being able to travel to Japan to enjoy it.
People are now criticising the fact that we were asked not to record and that the live event is being aired only for Japanese platforms when it is not something new! There's thousands of events that ask us to do the same! And it's not only Japan, you know? There are many other countries with region locks for their contents, and USA is one of them, and the worst one actually.
Why don't you like when it's done to you guys when you've been doing it to other countries for as long as history can go? (Because yeah, it's not only with media).
Even when I attended GR concert and Mamoru Miyano sang with Kisho Taniyama, they asked us NOT to record and I felt genuinely bad, I cried over it, yet still I didn't go 'oh yes wtv' and recorded it because it's basic decency and rule understanding, it's also respect towards the artists and the people behind that, like those who recorded Ado when she explicitly asked NOT to be recorded. What's so hard to understand!?
So, a certain user in TikTok and YouTube chose to record the event and upload it full. From Crowley's introduction (which is not aired in D+) to the small interactions that were cut from the footage.
Another user recorded and uploaded the first episodes of the animation to Mega after being invited to the exclusive screening.
And the worst of it is that people IS ASKING FOR THOSE LINKS!
Instead of actively ignoring it and waiting like the rest of us, even Japanese players, even people based in Japan, they just go and try to spoil it.
Is it really worth to throw a tantrum against a company that with the flick of a finger can just literally lock you out of any content related to the game and its future projects? Because people think this may make Aniplex be like "oh shoot, we should give them this content too", but the ONLY thing they're thinking is "ah, there they go again, we have to be tighter with safety and privacy measures."
I'm genuinely concerned about this people and their lack of understanding of respect. I have nothing against NA people because not everyone is like that, I've seen accounts encouraging to report, but this looks like a desperate call for Aniplex or Disney to restrict or shut down the server.
I really wonder, is it too hard to wait? To ask, politely, with reviews, comments, requests, if they can bring the content to you?
"Oh but the simultaneous release is not the same—"
It is thanks to your reviews that we are getting a simultaneous anime release worldwide, but the fact USA players are jealous because a JAPANESE GAME is focusing on the JAPANESE AUDIENCE of their game, which was originally not meant for a global release, is... unbelievable.
It is thanks to the honest players that we got to reach so many people. But for a few nasty, dishonest content thieves (because that's what they are) you're risking many other players.
Please people, we are better than this. We do know how much effort it takes to prepare such things for others to just come and ruin it out of pure envy.
If you run into this piracy accounts, please report them. If you run into this links with event videos plagiarism, please report them.
And I'm really mad not only as a player who had made the efforts of supporting the app and also had worked hard to be able to afford the events and merch of the game, but as an artist.
Because as a designer who has worked as both, freelance and for a company, I know how hard it is to deal with plagiarism of something that took you hours of planning, of trial and error, sleepless nights trying to solve issues that come up without advice.
That's why it not only angers me but disappoints me, because a lot of us in this community are writers, artists, people who know how hard it is to achieve the work we envision...
