True Confessions
I’ve never had a celebrity crush that wasn’t 90% about his looks.
I never thought I was that shallow until one of my crushes finally started showing his advanced age. Now… I find flaws in his movies, his music, his interviews…
I’ve been a fan of his for a very long time but obviously only a fan of the pretty face and the image.
Am I totally alone in this?
and you’re all going to say “Yeah, you’re totally alone in this and you suck because of it.” aren’t you?
Actually, no. I’ve had those crushes. Totally superficial. They usually don’t last beyond a few years for me, though, because I tend to want to learn about people and watch interviews, and when I learn certain things it can be a real turnoff. To the point where I no longer even find them physically attractive.
You are not alone. And let me just say that when I was in my George Clooney phase, I defended Batman and Robin…. yeah. SO not alone.
I’ve had those, that’s why they’re crushes, they don’t last. Ussually not more than a year. I had those as a teenager, I had a huge one on Leo Di Caprio, I still love him as an actor and find him attractive tho, but that’s it.
Oh hell this lasted for years and years and years. Long enough for him to go from hot to old man.
@annfromma actually I doubt if you’re the slightest bit atypical. Every time I hear the “oh I’m a fan of his work” comment I just laugh and laugh and laugh. His work! Yeah, that’s why you reblog 100 of his photos every day and use expressions like “his smile is sex”. LMAO! No 99.9% of all fandoms are filled with people that find the actor, singer, personality.... physically irresistible. The “just love him for his work” fans are only trying to convince themselves that their obsession is a noble cause.
