MY (Short) FILM IDEA (feedback optional)
Premise: A boy wants to go on a class trip to the woods planned by the students to celebrate the upcoming graduation, but his mother is wary do to his father's very recent accidental hiking death. Throwing away her warnings, he goes anyway and soon finds out his father's death was much more than just an accident. The boy has to survive a mass murder spree while simultaneously watching his classmates and friends get slaughtered in gruesome and horrid ways.

(MOTHER is shuffling about the kitchen trying to get things done while SON follows her with a groan)
SON: It's just a class trip,Ma! It's not like I'm gonna die! It's a graduation party!
MOTHER, (Back still turned): I just don't think it's the right time, {name}. With everything that just happened, i don't want you running around like that
SON, softer: So, you just gonna keep me box up in the house until you think it's safe? What happened to Dad-
MOTHER, (Puts a finger up to stop him): Don't. I said what i said, and that's it. You aren't going.
SON: Why'd you have to become such a bitch? I mean, why'd you have to become a bigger bitch
SON: Yeah, i said it. A bitch. A overprotective bitch. You know, ever since they found dad on that fucking hiking trail, you've acted like every single thing is out to get you. Like, this was some shit they sent out for you. I mean, it's crazy how you made his death, my fathers death, into something to feed your crazy ass delusions.
MOM: You don't get to talk to me like that. Because i said no? You think I'm so bad for not letting you go to some shitfest in the woods? I'm a bitch for wanting to protect the one piece of family-
SON: You're a bitch because you act like you care about this family! He BEGGED you to come with him! But your head was so stuck up your own ass that you couldn't take a fucking day off to spend time with your husband. You never had time to do anything with anyone and the ONE time it mattered…(sigh) You think this is protection? Cuz its not. No, protection isn't keeping me locked up until you think I'm ready. Protection isn't acting like you finally care for once when I actually want something. Dad's death was a fucking accident, but somehow, some way you keep trying to twist this to fit whatever the fucks going on in your head
MOM:You don't know what's going on inside my head. You this think this is easy, {name}? You think i don't regret not being there for him? For you? But that doesn't mean you take this out on me. I provided and i still provide for this family. And I'm sorry if me focusing on keeping this family afloat hurt you're feelings, but that's life. So if you wanna run off with your little friends, fine. You wanna go get drunk and high and drugged up in the middle of the woods, you go right ahead. But don't expect me to come fish you out when you fall into deep shit, you hear me? You go out there and get lost, or WORSE, don't you dare blame me. I tried-
SON: Yeah, well, next time TRY to make some room for that FAMILY while you're trying to keep them afloat. You never know, someone might get hurt when you leave them alone.
MOTHER: You don't get- (door slams shut cutting her off)
