Ok, it is STILL bothering me. What could Sauron have possibly promised Glug and Co. to make them decide that killing Adar would be the right move? When it's first revealed that Sauron could possibly still be alive, Glug is very obviously terrified, so much so that he corners Adar and asks if it's true. So he KNOWS the history and stories of torture, slavery, mutilation, etc., and how hard it was for them to escape that bondage. It doesn't make sense for him to seek out Sauron.

I could see a group of them just leaving and searching out a different place to dwell. Abandonment makes sense. You don't want to die, and you don't want your family to die, so you just flee and and hope for the best. But seeking out your OPPRESSOR as a solution?! Make it make sense. Please!
