Unfortunately black activism is another thing white people have stolen from black people. They've appropriated their fight for basic human rights, just like they did their music, food, fashion, and language. BLM is no longer about black liberation. Its about tone policing and holding other white people accountable for morality points in their little white liberal bubbles. The sheer snarkiness and refusal to educate or empathise is proof they lack to ambition to make real change. Its why so many people are exhausted with online discourse. Its the same conversation over and over again.

Its always who gets to use their favourite buzzword before the other person to incite an emotional response, rather than taking that opportunity to educate or reflect. Black activism has become a badge for white people to parade around, showing others how much they "care" and how "progressive" they are. Theyve never cared about black people. Dont expect them to start now.

And why is it always a white person educating us on black issues? We always applaud our favourite commentary youtubers or celebrities for doing the bare minimum and showing solidarity. But have we forgotten about the people we're fighting for in the first place? Why arent they ever applauded? Where are their golden stars and cookies?

This is why I encourage people to seek out explicitly leftist spaces, NOT liberal ones.
