THANK YOU SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️❤️ absolutely!!
I don't think I've been able to properly explain Alastor's place in the hotel + how his connections to the Vees boost the hotels popularity, right?
So I'll start here: Alastor is friends with Vox and Velvette. Velvette and him have an unofficial deal going on where she gives him new clothes, styles his hair, keeps his fur sleek, etc. All of that in exchange for him modeling for her fashion magazines or love-potion ads.
(I'm workshopping a few fake covers atm - Vox sometimes joins in as a secondary model. Vox TOOOTALLY doesn't do this just to be in compromising positions with Alastor.)
Add on the fact that Al and Vox have a popular podcast, Alastor is quite popular in all fashions. He's feared. He's adored. He's looked up to. He's idolized.
So when he joins the Happy Hotel - Renamed Hazbin Hotel - so comes an influx of fans brave enough to visit. Charlie and Vaggie have no complaints here - people joining under the guise of meeting their celebrity crush is STILL people giving a chance at redemption.
Aand when Voxtek airs the (edited) footage of the hotel versus Adam, especially Alastor versus Adam, it just skyrocketed into a degree no one really expected.
Vox made sure to edit the footage himself & correct every frame needed to protect Alastor's image. After all, Alastor WAS winning that battle at first!! But, it just... worked too fucking GOOD, y'know?
So now Alastor's stuck with a too-big crowd wanting his attention at every second at the hotel for vastly different things. Autographs - please tell me what its like to be Vox's partner ("Good Friend." He'd correct, lying of course bc by this point they're dating secretly) - can we take a photo together? - can I come on your podcast? Or worse, can I WORK with you on your podcast?
The audacity! Being popular is a curse.
